This topic should be interesting, It can be anything from a midevil castle to a terran strong hold built into cliffs, as long as it looks sweet and impenetratable. I dont mind if you use units or sprites, what ever needs to be done to make it look nice, but remember that this is a TERRAIN compition.

Please do not submit anything that has been previously made... obviously it gives you an unfair advantage if you have a piece already.

I will also be giving prize money to the winer:

LOL THIS IS WHAT I WAS GONNA DO!

I was thinking of this exact theme almost, but I was gonna say a medevil town or castle. That's so funny. Here's 50 mins to go to the jackpot.

Here is my entry. It took me an hour or so.

This is a fortress in space. The things the zealots are standing next to are guard towers.



EDIT: The attached file is slightly different than the picture. The attached file has floor traps on top of the guard towers.

heres my thing, I just whipped it up for lulz. I like it, a lot more could be done in the interior of course but I was just trying to give out a sort of feel for peasents and stuff.

Well, it looks nice first, but the river needs more deko. and actually, there isn't even an entrance... the terrain itself is pretty good, but I think it's not good for a castle. overall I would rate it with 6/10 stars... :)

I don't like to mass sprites over all my terrain, I think a few sprites is okay but if you end up with like 20 sprites in one screen area it's ushally bad.

that castle is a little more towards what i had in mind

....on the note of castles heres something i made. A battle of helms deep map, the terrain is sweet and functional but never got it balenced right. With the ladders i actually had it so ghosts and zerglings could climb the wals because the tiles i used were partially walkable.
