Installation: Open up Part 0 and open Temptation.exe with WINMPQ. Drag each folder (parts 1 - 3 [or 6]) into WINMPQ. Run the file. You will experience an error on startup. Just click OK and the game will start. You will also experience an error on closing -- just click OK. From the ReadMe: Critiques: Pros: I feel confident that I can consider this a Total Conversion. Sets up a new way of playing where all fighting is over a central resource. A wide array of ships for all races. Cons: Slightly unfinished and unpolished. It could use a bit of balancing. I feel a bit empty now that I’m releasing the mod because it’s nothing like I wanted it to be. It’s a great mod, but it’s not up there in the Legacy area -- at least, that’s what I think after playing the same mod for about a year. End. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

looks good. I added this latest test version to my site as well in it's compiled form.
Temptation.zip There are 2 unknowns in the .exe btw. Oddly enough they go away if you compact the file? I didn't compact it, but I was under the impression that unknowns remained after compacting? Not sure how the compact actually works. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

this is pretty sweet but its not done right? There are alot of build strings that need to be changed and theres no AI
Your attacks attacks are so sick, the red explosions and the black trails. I wish i knew how to do that lol. I also love seeing my own grps in peoples mods its pretty cool! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

First off, thanks Baja, YOU ROCK.
I noticed that too. In my original .exe, there are no unknowns, but in the compiled version, there are at least two, there can be an upwards of 16. No clue why. One error is from Shadoflare's music plugin, another is from Firegraft itself. I never bothered to bother DoA with it. I just wanted to release the mod -- its been a whole year and I want to move on . The only AI included right now is cheating AI, and all three races have AI.Ludicrous speed is one of the best ideas I put into this mod But each race has their own awesome specialty. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I tried to find someone to play.. but alas couldn't find anybody. The Ai was pretty fun tho while it lasted and the weapons and effects were really trick. gonna play again soon.
So does your plugin allow for those text messages btw? And did you have to modify pyms default stat_txt.tbl or something so that you wouldn't get the string value error > 1256 or whatever the last string entry is in stat_txt.tbl when you compiled these trigs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is a great mod, can't wait for some games to get organized
You don't have to edit the default stat_txt, you can just use your mods stat_txt, same as you can use your mods dat files to get accurate warnings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We mod Starcraft. Oh.. I see the "manage" (ctrl + M) button now.
I made a quick AI vs. Ai replay TvZ... Z got wiped out pretty quick. I'll try to record a bigger game sometime later. I can play tonight ~7:00 EST for the lolz. 100000000000 minerals for cpu is cute. Not like it matters how much $ the cpu has anyways. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
