Anyway, I was going to announce a change to the gameplay rules after dapper's turn. Basically, for the time being, I'm getting rid of all scoring. That's right!

The present form of this game is meant to be light-weight, hands-free, and open to everyone. A points system implies adding control over the game, which implies a more serious purpose to the game. Competitiveness is the only purpose I can think of, but in order to implement that successfully, I'd ultimately need to make the game more elaborate, higher maintenance, and no longer open to all players. Needless to say, I don't want to do that. Yet.

The only other reason I can think of to enforce a points system is to attempt to control the conduct of players, which is also stupid to have to do since, again, this isn't that kind of game.


So yeah. Points are gone, for the time being. I may set up a new version later, depending upon how this turns out, to accommodate competitive, faster-paced gameplay. Though I'd definitely start needing help from others to host it, if I do.

it's a real, obscure (probably very obscure) political party that has been in existence in the modern era at least since the 1800s, and does not belong to the U.S. Wherever it does belong, it's never been dominant.

Does the party still exist?

edit - I wouldn't mind helping host a game like this.

edit 0 - I'm not sure whether I should be trying to figure out what kind of political party you'd would come up with, or trying to divine the answer by random mindlessness or projecting inner silence to tap into universal consciousness.

Ok. I was thinking of either starting a separate thread or later converting this one in order to host said non-light-weight version, if people seriously wanted to start playing this competitively. I'd appreciate any help I could get.

Meanwhile, lemme know if that's what you guys want, or else if the way it is now is fine. But I'm not making the decision right away, so don't worry.
