Seriously. I don't know how it happened. One day I got to playing this with one of my friends, and next thing I know, I become addicted to it. Hell if I know why. :P

You can read up about it here, if by chance you're unfamiliar with it.

So, in the spirit of fun, I bring you-
20 Questions: SEN Edition.

Here's how it works:
  1. Firstly, this version isn't really 20 questions. It's however many is needed. Let's just start off easy and have fun here. :bleh:
  2. Everyone is welcome to play this game. No signups required.
  3. One player at a time is chosen to be the answerer. I'll start us off.
  4. The answerer picks a given 'thing' privately (must be something answerable, though; see rule 15), and the other players must attempt to guess what that thing is only by asking questions.
  5. The answerer must truthfully answer the players' questions until the thing in question is correctly identified.
  6. Each person may ask one question per post. No double posting for additional questions. This is so we can practice effective question making and stay as close to the spirit of the game as possible. Quality over quantity.
  7. All questions must be answerable in the general binary Yes/No form to be considered valid. However, for the purposes of avoiding unnecessary mind fuckery, I'll allow other variations of yes and no replies at my discretion (maybe, yes-ish, probably, probably not, etc.). You may clarify your answers with some relevant details, too (like mentioning there may be exceptions to a Yes answer).
  8. Answerers may give out hints, but I don't encourage this.
  9. Answerers must give correct answers to questions.
  10. Answerers may discuss how to "correctly" answer a given question either with me, or after their turn is over. Let's just keep it simple for now.
  11. *New Rule* To keep up the pace of the game, I may impose a 24-48 hour cutoff for an answerer to reply to questions, or for questions to be asked. That is, if either the answerer goes afk, or the questioners get utterly stumped, I'll likely go ahead and end the round by picking out a new answerer. Try to let me know in advance if you think you'll be pulled away from the game for more than 24 hours for whatever reason, if you can.
  12. *New Rule* Answerers may have discretion over which questions they may answer, but this should always be backed with a reason. This is just to be respectful.
  13. *New Rule* I reserve the right to decide if reasons are valid or not for the purposes of this game. This is only so we can stay on track with the gameplay.
  14. *New Rule* Answerers must choose guessable objects only. That is, it can't be anything that a reasonable number of players could not possibly guess out of their own knowledge. Don't make me have to define this.
  15. All of these rules are subject to change. Let's just have fun and not make me have to add more rules than necessary. :bleh:

Thar we be! That should be reasonable. Again, let's just try to have fun here. :P

Answerers:

Now. I'll start us off. I've just thought of something. What is it?

Nope. At least I'll say it isn't for simplicity.

I think someone such as Tux should serve as the moderator for this to make sure that future answerers aren't switching the objects they choose. So for example, answerers would PM Tux the actual answer so that Tux could make sure that the game is being played correctly. Otherwise, someone could just fuck with the game and not answer truthfully or at any point switch the object which they chose and in that case you wouldn't even really know that it happened.

This way rule 11 can actually be implemented.

It is human?
Re: Will Maphack be allowed in SC2?
for LAST TIME MAPHACK IS NOT CHEAT. is ROCKET BOOSTER INTO SPACE CHEAT? ROCKET BOOSTER INTO SPACE MAKE SPACE TRAVEL EASIER BUT NOT CHEAT. THEREFORE, MAPHACK IS NOT CHEAT. WOW YOU PEOPLE ARE STUPIDS!!!!

It is not human.

I should hope I don't have to need to be a moderator to be able to run this. ;) We're all reasonable people here, right?

This isn't a yes/no question, but I'll answer the first part. It is naturally occurring.

]Edit: On second thought, I guess it could be a yes/no question if you're asking if it's either of the two. Mah bad. But I already answered it as the first, so whatever. :P

Heh. No.

Sorry that wasn't a subtle hint. I just considered an alternate interpretation just then. :P

Nice catch, though.
