I don't see how this is a good thing. I think its far superior that someone knows what a Beta Tape, VHS-C Cartridge, or even a Floppy Disk is over anything else.

There really isn't anything wrong with Blu-ray at this point anyway. It's expensive, just like CD were when they were new-ish, just like DVDs, etc. It'll go down.
