IT'S LIKE FREAKIN' SUMMER AND I WANT IT TO BE SUMMER!! :-(

It might only be around here, but the weather has been nice and sunny and warm lately, and in a way, it's a bit depressing to think that I have to go to school on Monday. On the other hand, it's a little surprising to me that the school year is already almost over (fourth quarter starts Monday). It went by fast. Anyone else thinking the same thing, or did you have unbearably slow days?

Welcome to colorado my friend. We had it snow earlier yesterday, and on friday we had a blizzard. But good news. It all melted in 2 days. Still, it is cold in the mornings and nice in the evenings and OCCASIONALLY nice in the evenings too, but normall it is crappy in the evenings. Welcome to mile high baby... Damn buisness trips.. I'm stuck here until wednsday in colorado, then I go back to seattle :)

Thinking about finals, it's even more depressing. All I have to say.

When I was in high school, school went by really slow for me; I dreaded going to school on Mondays and just couldn't wait for summer.
But now in college, school is going by WAY TOO FUCKING QUICK! Wtf, two years already and I felt as though I just left high school. Sadly, I actually can wait for summer to come by. Maybe it's because I am having too much damn fun now that I'm in a university and that all of my friends will be going back to their respective hometowns for the summer. Not to mention we're all back under the rule of our parents ;P

You make me 'can't wait' for college. I heard that the finals in college were complete hell, though - from differing sources, that its like two months of heavy studying :P. I really dread that, because I'm very procrastinative (which isn't a real word). I usually study for HS finals for like one day.

It depends on which college you go to and what major/courses you are in. You can pick your schedule in college so you give yourself more time to study for finals and all. Engineers like me go to the library every day and every night. Business people play Dota every day and every night. :P

Yeah... I don't study at all except for 2/3 hours before tests, so... NOT MAKING ME FEEL BETTER.

Some classes actually either: let you exempt finals or just don't have them and simply have just yet another test during finals week. Many classes have only like 3-4 tests a semester and let you drop your lowest one. That make you feel better? ;)

Oh man college sucked. Summers were worse... I had to stay at my parents' house for 3 1/2 months. But the good news was the weekends or nights at my apartment or out on the town with my 3 friends. DAMN that was fun. I miss those good days really badly..

Yeah, I'm a freshman in high school (as any of you who have payed attention around v4 should know), and I'm just kind of thinking, "omgwtf where'd my year go?" A lot of people say that high school is the best time of one's life, and that makes me a little sad that it's going so fast. Why couldn't freakin' fifth grade have gone this fast? :(

Dude, you've been missing out. Today it was upwards of 70 here in Seattle. It was like the middle of July.

Computer Science isn't that hard. Granted, I haven't taken the classes for a long time, but so many people learn programming solo..

Computer science is not programming.

Alright fools, you want a hard course for college? Try Checmical Engineering and Checmical Sciences. Hardest damn course I have ever seen. 4 years of college, though, and it pays good. But i'm only 1 year out of college and my pay is only around 42,000 dollars a year... But once I am 42 and I have been working for my Chemical Industry all that time, 112,000 a year baby!

Pretty close. Computer Science is programming to solve specific problems as efficiently as possible - logical thought.

Computer Sciences consists of just working with computers to make certain programs work and they are used to revolutionize the modern world. For example: Einstein used the first type of computer science to enable the construction of the Atom Bomb, and soon the Hydrogen Bomb. It is NOTHING but solving problems, making diagrams, proportioning equations, and PROGRAMMING!

Everything nowadays uses programming and computer methods to solve problems and all. Computer science goes way beyond that and get into more difficult, theoretical, and technical stuff; they can even invent their own languages

but I think we can all agree that Engineers > Computer Scientists, anyday.
