my Logitech MX™620 Cordless Laser Mouse has worked wonders for me. it has the free-scrolling wheel, back/forward buttons(i cannot stand to use a mouse without these now), and a search button(haven't found much use for this to be honest). it is right-hand fitted, so the grip is very comfortable(unless you're a leftie, in which case you're fucked with this one). battery life is apparently a year too. been using mine solid for 3 months and it hasn't died on me yet. theres probably better ones out there, but this is not bad at all. it IS more expensive(actually 2x) than what you asked for, but the lack of battery changing alone will preserve your sanity(this is from a long-time wireless mouse user)..

There is a Logitech MX610 mouse that is identical to the MX620 as far as I know, except it is for lefties.
My next mouse might just be the MX610, it's the only other lefty mouse I've seen..

I use a corded laser mouse, but a wireless mouse
is nice on a laptop, as constant position shifting is easier when there is no cord to hassle with. Though I always worry that the little USB receiver will be bumped wrong and break the port.
Logitech G7

There is only 1 major difference you really get from playing games between Wired, and Wireless.
The reaction time... OH, and uh... battery death. Thats annoying.

I don't get how the Xbox 360, Wii, etc. controllers can be wireless and so responsive, and mouse manufacturers can't seem to mimic the responsiveness.
None.
To be quite honest, I don't think wireless mice are as unresponsive as people claim them to be. Maybe older mice, but newer ones I tend to feel no difference between. :\

I've tried out three or four different models, and as soon as they start to lose their battery charge, they lag at times (died a fair share of times as a result). Maybe I've just been unlucky with them.
None.
there does tend to be a lag time...but its less than a fraction of a second. you have to be paying [ALOT of] attention to notice it. honestly, it can't be more than 100 milliseconds...effectively, theres really no lag time.

But when you play CS. 100 Milliseconds is the difference between life, and a headshot from an AWP.
