I'm about to convert the maplantis wiki into sen code.
Got anything that needs improving or general suggestions, post them here.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

Do we have a wiki or are you going to merge with tutorial DB?
Because if it is that way every feature we have is fine right now and can't think of more.
One thing I hated about maplantis wiki is that it didn't have proper crediting.
It's not a big deal when it comes to me but I know there's people that get REALLY mad if you post their tutorials claiming that you "stole it" but hell, somebody has to post it if they are lazy and don't :P
Anyway yeah, add authoring or something like it. Also display poster.

fuck you all

PyMS and ProTRG developer

A way to compare edits to a page would be nice.
Recent Changes and Search (they were not finished before Maplantis went down i believe)
A way to create Tables of data so we dont have to do this :S
The way headers were implemented wasn't the best. If you added a header in the middle of the page, the links to all the headers below it would change. There was a modding tutorial that linked to GRPEdit on the files page, but someone had added a program above it so it actually went to some other program.

Boo tutorial DB.

Yay Wiki.

Give pages the ability to have collapsible sections, and add discussion pages.

Discussion pages. Definitely.

Other than that, nothing major I can think of. Maybe you could award minerals for wiki edits or something. :P

He's planning to do so :P
At least back when we talked minerals would be gained by doing things like wikis and some weird thoughts on DB too :P

Relatively ancient and inactive

Also, not an editing feature (well, that too) but an add-on feature. So that if, for example, its a tutorial 'How to create a basic stomp spell' or something like that, someone can add-on 'You can also use the principles displayed above to create a slightly more complicated spell, the whatever'. And it keeps on coming. Collapsible, of course :P.

Can you condence the tutorial database into the wiki? I like the idea of having a wiki page with tutorials and references right their. Oh and the whole idea of submitting the changes to the original author is kinda dumb. What if the original author leaves SEN? O_o' It should automaticaly update the currently edited article and show a history of what is what, and who did what. Pretty much like what Maplantis.org had. It worked nicely. If you didn't like what someone did you could view history, select the original article, or more updated one, and give it the ol' switch-a-roo. :D

You shouldn't be stealing people's tutorials. If you really think the tutorial is needed, and it's not yours, then don't put it in. It is stealing content. I've seen some real problems arising when there's a good article and someone steals it and sticks it in the wiki. A big example was that article on melee balance. If in doubt, don't put it in, and as a mod, if you find something that's been copied, talk to the original author or the person who put it in.

Actually, this makes me think of something. Article discussion pages. That allows people to discuss things like the idea of the article having been stolen, or other issues. The habit we got into at Maplantis was to have small discussions in italics at the bottom of the article. :P

If you're going to get so anal about "stealing tutorials", I suggest hiding the creator of the wiki page.

Allow higher limits for tutorials, the terrain tutorial section is totally useless right now because every tutorial I try to submit has too many pictures to work.

Doodle: And how would that work exactly? A predefined style and you simply define the content that gets put into the template?
