Are you sure it is a "Pentium" dual core at 1.8 gHz? Intel has dropped the Pentium name for all of its newer model cpus, so if it is a newer model cpu then it isn't called Pentium. Also, I may be wrong, but I don't think there was ever any dual core cpu as low as 1.8 gHz that had "Pentium" in the name, as the latest Pentium processors had artificially high clock speeds (and high power consumption) at the cost of performance. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

To be more precise, a Pentium E2160. Financially, it's placed above Celeron and below Core 2 series.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116036 It's the same as an E2140 at a higher clock speed, but E2140's were sold out. I've already overclocked it to 2.5Ghz without having to increase voltage. I probably could go higher, but I don't feel like it right now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's Friday night and I'm a man! I'm not going to sit here all night. I'm going out to meet me a girl who's smart and sexy and has big ovaries!

Hmm, that's odd that they'd be going back to the Pentium name; I hadn't even heard of that at all. The cpu core itself that is named is one they've used for certain lower end Core 2 Duo processors. I think they are just going to cause some confusion using the Pentium name for those, particularly since that was last used for the Pentium 4 type processors, which were a whole lot slower for a given clock speed.
