Psp or Ds?

I like them both. i like the revolutionary touch screen, and i like the mini-ps2 handheld/multiple media device. I personally want a Ds (i have a psp) to go along with my psp, because the 2 KH games ... 358/2 days of night, and Birth by Sleep come out for the Ds and Psp are hopefully coming out soon. so id like to have them both. But, if you were forced into a tiny room for 6 hours. naked.... ok, disregard that last condition. and you had to choose a psp or a ds to keep you entertained, what would it be? why so? Please dont say that the games are better for either one. Feel free to, i cant stop you, but anyone from either side can advertise that. so if people yell at eachother about what games are better it will come down to flamin' (No Trolls! lol). After the debate has Seemed to cool down ill tell yall what i prefer.

DS. A PSP is just a Playstation 2, so you really don't get any new games.

DS. Its ten times as fun as a Psp and that touch screen is da bomb. 2 screens + mic + wifi = pwnage. Also you should turn this into a poll so people can vote.

Lol, falkoner, i love nintendo. dont get me wrong. i love the stuff. but take a look at nintendo, the ds/nintendo is pretty much be centered around Mario, Metroid, Sonic, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon and other. for every new system that nintendo puts out (wich is always awesome) they have the same games...

DS. IT HAS 2 SCREENS. THEREFORE IT OWNS.

I dunno. I have a ds, and my friend has a psp. Everything looks about ten times better on the psp. Birth by Sleep is going to be a more more important and probably better game than 358/2. Don't forget that later this month, DUN DUN DUN, FF7 Crisis Core comes to the US on psp. I'm renting 1 just for that.

DS games get gimmicky after awhile. Go with the PSP.

They also make new franchises. What's wrong with continuing fun, established games? See those top rated games of the past years or so? Twilight Princes, SMG, and Metroid Prime 3? Ya. There's a reason they keep releasing franchise games.

Then they add to them. Warioware, Pikmin, Animal Crossing.

Sony and Microsoft do the exact same thing. They just haven't been around as long.

I have a DS and I say its quite cool but the only thing I'm dissapointed with is there is no analouge stick. When playing racing games for example, your hand gets sore due to the fact you cant rotate in a 360degree fashion. Or even fighting games. But the features are cool. And with homebrew, you can give it the same functions as the Psp.

DS= More fun.

For those who have a DS and access to internet with it, I highly suggest getting Animal Crossing: Wild World.

i just like the other games Nintendo releases, like RE [on ÐS, they suck though] but if i had to choose if i want to be locked in a small room for 6 hours, and forced to pick a ÐS or PSP, i would pick the ÐS, b/c of the funness of having 2 screens, a mic, and ability to play GBA Games

I'm a serious person and don't like fun over better graphics so I choose psp.

Lol what isnt good about it? It was good enough on the Gamecube and in the DS version they managed to take out all the annoying things and added great features such as online play.

My sisters have DS, and I have a PSP.

Many people don't realise, the PSP isn't just for gaming [I hardly play games on it anyway].
It's a lot more geared for media, like the entirety of RvB, to watch on the bus. It's way better than stinkin DS games.
I use it as an MP3 player too, but it's a bit too bulky to be recommended, the internet stuff is good, but lack of memory drives me nuts when viewing images or forums. And the videos are ekselunt fer teh pronz

DS has decent games, and a touchscreen, however, I think it's for a younger audience, but is DEFINITELY geared for gaming, I still feel the psp is better for games however, especially since it has such good 3D rendering, apart from the problems with it rendering black...

that is an oversimplification. you forget that that is Your opinion. in my opinion, i think that the psp better. see how easily that changes?

I like the combination of Better graphics with playstation gameplay. ever played brotherhood of the blade? thats the shit. thats a game you cannot find on the ds, cuz nintendo is to focused on their classics. how about... dexter? thats awesome. how about the god of war chains of olympus coming out, have you seen it? im going to camp outside gamestop for that thing. The idea of what a handheld was, or has been was mostly dominated by the gameboy's. but the psp came out, and its pushed the boundaries in my opinion. it uses the 3d quality. i like that. me gusta 3d. better graphics do have an effect on gameplay, BUT, if the interface sucks, and the game doesnt react to your controller very well... then it blows. like, example, if runescape had better graphics it would be easier to tolerate (lol, tolerate, runescape blows...). i like a game that is well portreyed.

i never said it was a bad thing, you just said that the psp makes games that have already been made, and im just saying that nintendo has done it on an ultimately larger scale. i love nintendo people, im just stating whats there.

I think they will both work out for when the new kingdom hearts games comes out.
They won't be the same game but at least there's gonna be part of a story to each system.
thus making both of them precious to me.. (in the future), but for now the psp I think is more of an entertainer
cuz the ds mostly has like "E" avareged games. Usually the most exciting games have more of violence which would be like T or M rated. and yeah that would mean getting a psp.

PSP for the win...

-Who needs a touch screen? The PSP has a screen that is almost twice the size as the one screen and who wants to be looking at 2 screens rather than playing the game?
-Music, Video, Pictures... Simply said? Or must I say about how I can put Transformers onto my PSP and then have the sound track in my music folder and then have my background be Optimus...
-Mics? PSPs have them too..
-Wifi is nice and all, but who is able to access not only other games close to the handheld but also the other ones around the world!
-Web Browser is always nice
-Internet Radio
-Operating system for emulators (Yes, this can be done if you know what you're doing). "This means I could play DS games on the PSP!?! No wai!!"
-Analog stick and D-pad
-Disks, not those stupid game cartridges
-More titles, enough said
-UMDs designed right for the PSP
-PS3 connectivity
-Able to connect to your TV and play your PSP on the big screen

Anything else I have missed? Oh ya, and forget Animal Crossing... That is like playing Viva Pinata which is also gay...
