Everybody has dreams, but most of the time, people forget them. However, there are ways to increase the chances of you remembering your dreams.

On topic:
I have died in my dream before, multiple times. One time I was in one of those traps that Jigsaw puts people into in the Saw movies. I died a rather gruesome death.

Um. Once, I fell from a couple hundred feet up, because the ground kept moving away at such a rate that it took about... some long time for my acceleration to allow me to catch up. I woke up just before striking though.
Another time, I had someone throw a knife into my stomach from a long ways away. Somehow, that was supposed to 'kill' me, although, again, I woke up just before it happened.
Can't recall any more in particular, although I'm fairly certain that I've had atleast one other dream in which I've died, or nearly died, which I would normally remember.
I am gooey...
Pour me, poke me, watch me gloop!
And before you say, 'fooey,'
Find me to be a wonderful soup!

I had a dream I was alternatively getting chased/chasing Trevelyan on Cradle one time after playing GoldenEye all day... I was climbing through some suspended pipe filled area when he found me and shot me a bunch, but the bullets felt good and I just woke up.

Well, I probably have nocturnal hallucinations, but not "dreams" dreams. I've never awoken to a start, missing a storyling or narrative of nonsense. I fall asleep, wake up, nothing.

I was running away from the Macho Man Randy Savage, up an infinite stairway of snakes, They bit me and hurt alot. It went on forever. I wish I died in that dream, those things hurt so much.

I had a dream about everyone talking about a comet coming in 2 days. Everyone one I knew gathered at the beach to watch it come down. I asked out the girl I liked in the last seconds, she burned me(fuck! not a dream!). A formatin of jets flew overhead and then a shockwave knocked us out. Woke up in a crowded hospital. I was nearly blind, but someone was holding my hand, and cared for me. Then I slipped back in uncounciousness... I might have died dunno.
I woke up, didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day, then wrote my english paper on it and got a B. I probably still have it.

Oh yeh, dreams that I actually die in.

I don't remember much, but in every dream I have, as I'm dying, I repent and ask for jesus and god. Give my whole being to the almighty, and turn away from being agnostic. It works everytime! I go to heaven, or become an angel and hang around a bridge. I remember one time just REALLY giving my whole heart and soul to Jesus with him excepting me and being filled with joy. Then I woke up and was like 'eh, just a dream... Keep on not believing!'

That's what I mean. You fall asleep, wake up, nothing. You forget them before you wake up. You can remember them by being relaxed before going to sleep, and when you wake up, stay in bed and don't open your eyes... just sort of concentrate. I remember many of the dreams where I actually try to remember them in this method.
It sounds really weird, but it works.

How exactly would you know that was the dream? It could very well just be your mind playing tricks on you.

That's how I sleep. I take a hot shower to relax everything, and wind up laying in bed trying to go back to sleep for an hour in the morn'.

Actually, I remember reading that people generally wake up before they die because their mind will actually think you died, and you will in real life. I'm not sure how true that is, seeing as we still have much to learn about the human mind.

Prove it ;o
Each time I die, I never actually die. Either I wake up just before I'd actually die, or my consciousness keeps me alive even though I'm seeing myself as "dead" (like still thinking in my dream), or, I go into spirit form in my dream. Dead, but not really dead.
Things to know: The squeaky wheel gets the grease
Forums are DONE. Well, done as in I'm leaving the area to do other things.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. After awhile, I'll generally leave the area alone and not do any work on it until I revisit.
Currently working on: DLDB tools for the DLDB managers. Probably the DLDB in general as well.
Next in line: Message center, Mod night, Wiki

A lot of the human brain has not been mapped; some piece might actually relate to that. Also, people with low self-esteem usually can;t do what they said they can't; maybe the brain works like that.

I find it ironic how the brain is baffled by itself.

Part of the reason you can't really completely die in a dream is that your brain doesn't have any idea what it would be like to be dead... You can die in third person, but you can't 'feel' yourself die because what would it feel like?

To be dead? It'd be like you were sleeping, with no dreams.
