With SgtHK, our leader, leaving, the project basically came to a standstill. This has happened in the past, so no need to worry, things will go on eventually.

Seeing it finished, however, may or may not be way after the release of sc2. We've made significant progress, but there's still a lot to do.

Just out of curiosity why did SgtHK quit the project?

It would be a shame to see such a large project with so much time and effort invested just never see the light of day...

I'm no expect on creating campaigns but shouldn't you guys finish all the terraining and triggers and general gameplay before going through all the effort for cinematics/custom graphics/voices? It just seems kind of backward to do everything flashy first and then get to the actual GAMEPLAY before realizing it sucks and you did all this hard work for nothing.

Everyone on the team specializes in something different, so it wouldn't make sense for the modders and voice actors to wait for the maps to be done. I'm sure it's easier to just have everyone do what they need to do at the same time.

Hi. I want to join as a 3d modeler. I sent an application to the sc.sonsofwar@gmail address but there hasn't been a reply for almost a month. From the looks of things here there hasn't been any updates for 9 months. I'd love to help out with the graphics. But is the project still active enough to be worth working for or is it dead?

Hey if this is still active, I'd love to join in as a mapper. I've been making starcraft maps since the game came out. I can do terrain, triggers, anything you need. I have way too much free time, so if you could fill it that'd be great ^^

It's dead and gone. Basically died after ULTRATORASSQUE left (that's his name, right? o.o). SgtHK brough it back for a while, but then it died again. Sorry. ;o
