I love the concept of the second one, although it needs some touching up here and there, it give me the feeling of a dam that dried up all the water inside.
Would be neat to have in a map two different places, one in which the water fills the pool and another where you can venture into the chasm. You'd have to change a few things in the structure, but it would be cool.

Very neat indeed. My favorite kind of terrain is the crazy architecture that some people come up with. Good job!
