Finally played this (for real-ish, haven't beat it yet), how many years late? Anyway, wanted to say awesome job. I'm struggling because I'm playing solo I think, but lots of great stuff here.
- The interfaces are really well done, despite the limitations of Starcraft and Non-EUD mapping
- Battle in the left side of town is fun and slick
- Love how the craftable items are basically like auto-spells
- Story is entertaining, and great job making it work even with only 1 player in the game
- The "micro unit" feel is a lot of fun - works well I think because all the players are Ghosts and therefore have a very small collision box, but you've placed basically every single tile with care and it shows. Also makes the map feel huge even though the overall map usage is surprisingly small. Amicus can GTFO the way sometimes tho

- Kind of the same as the above point, but excellent use of terrain/doodads like the caves
- Really nice mini puzzles and stuff like the cave side quests
- Thank the lawd for respawn systems (suck it DK3)
- love the whole exp converts to gold at max level, though at this point I have so much gold with literally nothing to buy (gambling is fun though)
- sounds/music/feel is top notch
- excellent technique leveraging the same-terrain-room-but-different-sprites sort of thing, very slick
My pseudo-gripes: I guess I was expecting a larger world to explore (like, in total area/tiles)? I really can't fault you for that though given the content here. I loved the town layout when I started playing, it looks super cool, but after playing a bunch it did get annoying that so many paths from the outer-lands gate to like the bar, shop, mercs, etc are all so far from each other. Life leech mechanic also doesnt make much sense, like I guess I saw some random heals sometimes, and buying the merc life leech also randomly healed them?
Question: is max HP like a quest bonus or something? Same question for the mercs.
Overall man I definitely give this a perfect 5/7, excellent work! (no but really 10/10)
Edit:
Interact with the Relic, then select Stargate, then press A - O - S - C.
A-D-S-C in my case.... damn hotkey remappings! Why didn't you anticipate Starcraft features that weren't present when you made the map! /s
