Since you want my opinion:
Personally, I come to SeN, because I like to see what people are talking about, and would like to see other people's views of the same age and interest level as mine.

I also visit maplantis. I've been at maplantis more than SeN, because I'm not much into map making anymore, and the topics there are more fun. Less spam, and is more under control.

SeN looks pretty, and lots of cool features. I will most likely be more active here once everything is complete, and I can do some more clan related stuff. Overall a little out of control, but that's because of people here complaining about moderators doing unnecessary things. You always think you're right, so when you get warned or have a post deleted, you think the moderator is just mad at you. But the moderator is just doing his job. Accept it that your post got deleted, it's just an opinion.

Regardless of whatever, the original point of the topic was so that I know why some people really hate SEN/maplantis and me and moose get a chance to answer these people. It was probably my fault for choosing such a bad name for a topic (couldn't think of anything else), but people are apparently mistaking this topic for "why do you like maplantis/sen". However, let me just say that the mineral system can be disabled and I have not once seen a post akin to 'FIVE THOUSAND MINERAL CLUB' here on SENv5, and the off-topic threads are in the off-topic forums, so I don't really see a problem there.

Maplantis was not initially founded to be just another mapping site, it was founded to house OSMAP and its supporters, who had run afoul of the opinion of mainstream SEN.[/color]

Even though I'm not really much of an influence here, I HAVE seen SEN from the beginning, even though I haven't been active enough to call myself a regular..though, I still remember everything thats gone down here. Sure, I know what you're thinking: "How do you know whats going on if you aren't active?"... DM123's account was always remembered in the cookies, and so I used it to navigate, and make minor posts when he asked me, and besides, when he was a regular here, I heard or saw everything since we had to share ONE computer. But enough straying off point. Most people I've seen nowadays who do NOT know about the roots of SEN, say that SEN sucks. I've had to tell literally HUNDREDS of people about the whole split up, OSMaP issues, ETC. And I might add, its getting REALLY FUCKING TIRING. Maplantis today breeds mostly ARROGANT teenagers these days. You say one thing good about SEN in front of a bunch of Maplantisers and BOOM! You're flamed, and targeted with everything they have inside them. The fact that Maplantiser's don't acknologe that SEN is the root of all good in the mapping community is an increasing problem. But who am I to say anything? But, in the light of a Maplantiser saying something good about Maplantis, SEN goers tend to agree with them, and life goes on.
