Hello random people that I don't know. How are you today? Good? Bad?
I just got a 24 hour ban from D2jsp.org. Hilarious stuff. I suppose insulting an Admin isn't a smart thing to do.
Not my fault though, he kept putting a few of my threads in the 'trash bucket' without giving me any reason.
So I decided to rage at him. THAT did a lot of good, huh? Being banned for a day and all.

Yesterday, went to a spine specialist, for my scoliosis. Doctor looked it, and was like "Oh, yes, this is definitely curved."
Well, gee, thanks Mr. Doctor. For telling me something I already know. Now what?
"Oh, it's not that bad, you won't need surgery or anything serious like that".
Well, another thing I already knew about. Thanks again Mr. Doctor.
"So for now, you'll come back in 6 months to see me again, and make sure it's not still curving."
Uh... So what the heck do I do about the pain? I didn't spend money for you to tell me stuff I already know....
"Ah, It'll be alright, you'll just have to have some therapy, that we won't start until you see me again in 6 months... Also just take some painkillers until you come back in 6 months."
Well, gee. Thanks a bunch. Take drugs, and do absolutely nothing for the next 6 months. Got to love doctors.

Woke up, showered, went to school, came back, and here I am.

Gotta agree with Ray here.

Got a terrible day. At least I now have spent all my bad luck for the rest of the year (hopefully).
What happened you ask? Actually I'm not very keen talking about it, but I'll give you this: I went to repair my bike and ended up with a even more broken bike and a 1 hour walk that killed my shoes, which later that day made unpleasant contact with dog droppings. It doesn't end here, but should be enough to get you an impression.

Yesterday sucked ass tho.. Found out an application deadline was earlier than expected, pretty much went in an anxiety induced panic attack.

Still Napping

I have been applying my mental faculties into resolving internal dilemmas caused by pressure from an individual. I then devised and executed a plan to gain favor with this individual.

Difficulty arose, however, when physical labor aggravated my physical ailment. I am moderately intrigued by my symptoms: fatigue and excessive thirst. I shall monitor my condition and begin researching to determine possible mechanisms.

This asshole must have access to my play book; it was queued for the middle of next week.

I sent a thing to my manager. And then I made some things. I got a phone call from a coworker telling me that things were approved that we don't have resources for. Then a guy came to test my fire alarm, but the thing is expired, so I guess he's coming back tomorrow to replace it, but I'll be at work so he'll have to enter my apartment while no one's here. Then I got a response on my thing from my manager, she said interesting points but that she wanted to do it her way anyways. Then I got an email saying that I'm presenting at a meeting on Friday, so I sent an email to my people asking for the information I need so i can prepare for the presentation. Then I played Skyrim, and it was lightening and thundering so we went out on the patio and watched it for a little while before it got too cold. We came inside and we listed to the Animal Crossing rain music (from the Game Cube game) while the thunder goes outside. I am very tired now.

Recently I have been thinking about temporal manipulation. The idea of time travel is fascinating.

I have determined that time travel will shift world lines, but one cannot actually shift from one timeline to the same timeline (so what happened in Back to the Future is impossible). This is because if it were possible, the chances that our world line being polluted by time travelers is astronomical.

But sac, we are all time travellers! We just don't travel faster than the speed of light. :awesome:

Even if we were able to travel faster than the speed of light, as long as long as we are movingforward we wouldn't be disrupting the time line...

Nothing that interacts with the Higgs field can exceed the speed of light -- it's absolute.

Even if you were to slow down time to a near standstill, photons would still appear to travel at the same speed.

Been keeping up with your scientific literature, have you?

I'll explain for those that might know. The Higgs field and perhaps more specifically, the Higgs mechanism, is what is theorized to give particles their mass. Church jokes aside, an exciting application of this knowledge is to find ways to alter either the Higgs field or how particles interact with the Higgs field. We can use it to manipulate the mass of objects.

As Einstein taught us, objects cannot travel faster than light because the faster an object moves, the more mass it has. An object moving at light speed would have infinite mass, meaning that it would take an infinite amount of energy to accelerate to this speed.

If we can alter the mass of an object, interstellar travel would become far easier. This could potentially be coupled with warp field theory to make high speed interstellar travel even faster. Time dilation would still apply, however.

It's not like they're just going to become less fat if you test them more.

You need to alter their reactivity with the higgs field. Also I'm pretty sure he was just calling them "fat fucks" because they aren't in good enough condition to go through the PT, rather than being actually fat.

I spent three hours (it starts at 12:00) at in lab to find out that we dumped our second-to-final product because the instructions said "empty the volumetric flask". When it really meant for us to "store the contents of the flask in a separate beaker". We just bs'd our results and the professor told my lab partner that we should check our calculations. My partner was pretty oblivious and looked to me for a way out like "what else could we do?" so I turn to the TA and I say to him assertively "Do you want us to redo our experiment?" The guy, who has only been in the US for about 3 months (chinese), looks at me, almost stutters as he says "I don't know" very meek and reserved-like.

We hand in the incorrect calculations and leave. It's pouring down rain. I'm wearing my nice pants and my black collared shirt. I haven't eaten yet all day.
I feel like crap.

Yeah Chemistry is hard to get a grasp of at first, but you'll learn, it gets easier.
