Now that I know where Minibooster is I have lurker and lurker is really difficult to push over hurdles... such a frustrating mechanic.
Ok after what must have been half an hour of constant burrowing-unburrowing I have finished this map. Never touching it again!!! One thing I do want to know though is how you gave all those burrowed Infested Terrans without the use of triggers? This post was edited 3 times, last edit by Oh_Man: Jan 26 2012, 11:33 am. |

@sacrieur: Thanks! I appreciate people who appreciate good level design.
@oh_man: There was an easier way, probably several easier ways. There's no reason to ever have to boost the lurker. Congrats though. As for the giving of the ITs, all units that belong to a player are given to you if you rescue a hatchery/cc/nexus belonging to that player. @Rye123: the booster is used to do a trick called burrow hopping. To do this, you must first burrow the booster beside an obstacle (such as the bough or hurdles later on). Next, you move the unit that you want to "hop" directly on top of the burrowed unit. Finally, you unburrow the booster. As soon as you unburrow, select the hopping unit and right click furiously on the other side of the bough (hotkeys make this task a lot easier). Because 2 ground units cannot exist in the same space, the units will try to separate. During this state, the units will be able to pass through other units, so the "hopping" unit can walk through the obstacle. It's easier than this paragraph of text makes it sound, but you may need to practice it a bit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm stuck with my Booster behind the Hurdle, and my Slim and Hydralisk both in that spot where there is an Infested Command Center (I can't reach that CC, though, I'm at the bottom of the Nydus Line there).
Spoiler (select the following invisible text): I've found out you can enter both units at once into a nydus and it displaces the Hydralisk to the right if it's a narrow exit. Am I supposed to try to use that my advantage at some point? I tried to make the Zergling appear to the right, but it looks like it's only working on the Hydralisk. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
