How the hell do you think he got elected to his second term? It sure as hell wasn't by convincing the moderates, it was pandering to his base of fundamentalist neo-con Christians.
I do not respect your beliefs, and I implore you not to respect mine. To ask respect of beliefs held without evidence, is to burn the books of progress and hope.

QuoteDapperdan, you must be ignorant too if you believe Bush sucks. I have a right to my own opinion. There is currently no plan of the house of even trying to find a way to impeach him. No one is even open minded. Everyone has their own beliefs. By that, you fail.

First of all, I never said bush sucks in such blatant terms. Second of all, I know you have a right to your opinion. Third of all, it takes a lot more than sucking at being a president to be impeached. I am open-minded, trust me on that, what I did with PP is evident of that I think. I also only quoted the first sentence of your post. When I said you were ignorant, it was refering to that statement. I'm done conversating with you echo, until you come around, if that can really happen.

The one thing you need to impeach a president is the cooperation of the media.

I've been reading this long, nice, yet stupid, yet intellegent, arguement for about an hour; and, I must say, this is the worst/best arguement I've ever read. People are agreeing with each other without saying anything else. Everytime someone rebuttles someone, they ask for "proof". Then, there's the incoherrent spam.

So, has Bush been a good or bad President? I could not say for sure. Why? Becuase his term has come at a horrible time; a time of terrorism, and incoherency.

Should we have invaded Iraq? Maybe its the brainwashing, or the 1984-esque world some of you would love, but I think it was the best thing to do. If a country can produce WMDs, then we should keep an eye on them; just as we should currently do with North Korea.

"So are you pro Bush, or against him?"
Does it really matter?
"Yes."
Then I would say I support him.

That is the problem, at the time we invaded Iraq, the UN was allowed to have weapon inspectors there, and there was no evidence of WMD, or support of al-quaida. North Korea had a confirmed nuclear program, but no oil. I wonder if the reason we went to iraq was the oil, or just because it was already decided to start a war, and Iraq was chosen because it was an easy sell to the media.

If we look at it that way, then it would be the media attention. Oil seems irrelivant to me (and I know most people will dissagree).

The problem is that I do not think the administration is THAT incompetent(They do put on a good show, Katrina for instance), it is possible this is all a ruse to divert attention from something else. I wonder what the significance of karl rove leaving the administration is.

It means we took your word without even looking at the sources, and believed you. Seeing as how everyone pretty much agreed with you on any points made against Falkoner's arguements. :omfg:

Karl Rove left as part of a quickening stream of officials jumping ship to avoid the sinking Bush administration. As Iraq continues to worsen and Bush turns to the things the Democrats have been suggesting for years on end (such as a 'soft' partition of Iraq and an end to the 'surge'), a lot of the professional politicians around him are trying to run before being Republican becomes taboo.

No, the Bush administration is not incompetent, and in some ways that is what scares me. Bush did indeed truly believe that Saddam was evil and needed to be hunted down (Saddam did go after his father, after all). But now that it is clear that invading Iraq was the wrong choice (most people agree about this - even a majority of Republican candidates, but not whether we should withdraw now is not agreed upon), Bush cannot bring himself to admit that he was wrong.

Honestly, no. If you think that liberals have complete control of the media, look at the often-used Fox News. Look at Robert Murdoch. It's a bit of a stretch to call him a liberal Democrat.

That's got to be the first time I've seen someone bash Bush for not being Republican enough.

If it had been Bush's goal to toss this country down the shitter, then yeah, the administration's not incompetent at all.

How about this?
http://www.bordergatewayprotocol.net/jon/media/bush/#

Bush:

•I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

•I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.

•I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections.

•I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security

•I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission.

•I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board.

•I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.

•Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history.

•I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

•In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).

•I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

•I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).

•I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.

•I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

Im sure poeple ignore these types of posts; I donnot. You sir, are a blubbering idiot.

I wish the news was more like the BBC -- unbiased. That's all I really have to say.

Didn't the US create the United Nations? How can the creator get kicked out of his own orginization (I refer to the US as a he).

The BBC is biased - just not as obviously as most media corporations. In the UK they are in a lot of trouble at the moment for leaning too far to the left.
