Dynasty Warriors online just reached open beta, and some of your local SENners are already hitting it up. If you don't know what Dynasty Warriors is, its a fan fiction genra of games created by Koei, based entirely off of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Its a good read, I promise you. The game plays like a Dynasty Warriors game, mostly resembling DW5, with some models from 6, and some modifications. The voices are all currently in Chinese, but they'll be in English for sure when the game isn't in beta any longer.

The game is hosted by Aeria games, and is entirely free to play. The only cash shop things you can get is stuff you can get in game already as it is. It plays like a dream, even for keyboard control, though you can play Keyboard and Mouse as well, with some modifications to the controls.

We're four strong, and plan on forming a guild shortly. We're with Shu, because they're the underdog, and the challenge right now. Wei forces currently have a tight grip on most of the server currently, but we hope to change that.

Downloaded and installed, but I got an error for some patcher thing. Hopefully I can get it to work. xDevliNx is my name on there.

Edit: No Taigong Wang moveset, I am disappoint.

Check their forums, I saw a bunch of relevant fixes to the patcher not working right.

Oh look Ive been involuntarily dragged into this.

I'm going to throw out that I'm glad DM signed us up for Shu. The community is exactly what you'd hope to be, for a roleplaying, or at least really nice group. The taverns are definitly centers of the trade, and FANTASTIC to sit in with a group, just to recruit for a guild.

I fucking love it when people get the courage to walk up to the table four others are sitting at, and ask to join them on their quest.

I wish it would let me download the patches. Or that Lingie and Riney would get the fuck out of the LoL channel in Teamspeak if they're going to talk about DWO.

Fuck it, uninstalling. The game refuses to patch, even when I'm on a network without port blocking. The game is also apparently extremely addictive, so it can fuck itself.

Installing, name will be Derqua of course.

As it turns out, the installer just didn't install the patcher at all. I've been playing and I'm not sure how I feel about this game yet. I like the PS2 games, but for some reason I'm not feeling this one. I think it has to do with the seemingly endless tutorials and practice quests.

You should have S-ranked the first mission if you wanted to avoid the endless tutorials. . Don't worry about it though, I didn't either (got an A) so just finish those and get 200 honour and it gets better, or you can just play with us (like Pie does) and you don't really need to rank up. ;o

Biggest thing is that the game doesn't play like the console games yet. Everything major, be it PvE or PvE is currently locked. Most of the game plays like Empires, with a full fledged adaptation of the story mode, as I take it, through the game for its own unlocks or whatnot.

For Beta testing though, and to make sure Aeria has their shit together, most of the content is locked. But, we get some good fights. Come meet us all on TS and we can friend add, or battle together, or whatnot.

Yeah, I got an A. I have gotten S on the following 6, though. Ugh.
