Relatively ancient and inactive

What interesting/useful programs do you use?

Browser: Chrome
Extensions: Adblock, FastestChrome, Google Translate, Lazarus
E-mail: Gmail (recently switched from a local e-mail and redirect all of my AOL/MSN/anythingelse to this)
Office: Microsoft Office 2010 + Google Docs + Microsoft Online Docs
RSS: Google Reader
Security/Maintenance: Microsoft Security Essentials, Ad-aware, Spybot, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, CCleaner
Media: VLC (Video), Zune (Music), Picasa 3 (Images), Sony Media Center (came with lappy, didn't try it yet)
Social: Pidgin, Skype (IRL only. And JaFF), Facebook (IRL only)
Games: WCIII, WoW
Other: Windows Mesh, Windows Live Sync, Google Earth, 7zip

I made a new topic because the old one seemed rather set in stone and I want to more see what other people use than choose the best of everything and compile into a list. This is basically what I have on my epic laptop, because I have a ton of unneeded programs and other stuff on my desky that I'll want to get rid of eventually. Maybe even a clean install...

In bold are the ones we share in common. I currently use iTunes as my music player, although it's more common for me to just play stuff off of YouTube (AutoReplay addon FTW). I've as yet had no need to record videos, but when I do I'm not sure what program I'll use. Maybe Fraps.

I have Steam (acquired recently when Portal was going free), and I'm progressively using that more. I list SCMD as one of my most-used/useful programs, too. I've got Paint Shop Pro 8, which I use for the very rare graphical editing that I do. I have no 3d modeling program, though it's possible in the future I might need one. Besides that there's not much to mention.

I actually have Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Cinema 4D, 3D studio max, and who knows what else on my desky, but I'll probably do something about them. I use none of them except Photoshop (which I'll keep), and I want to keep my laptop and desktop synchronized (hence the two sync apps :P) in most respects. My lappy only has 128GB storage (SSD - every additional 64GB cost $200), so I'm trying to keep stuff I don't use off it and subsequently off my desky. Oh, and I don't believe, Devlin, there's an Office 2009.

Haven and Hearth
Lolwut? Are we talking about the same game? I was playing it the other day and it did seem interesting... seemed like you live in a world where you build and gather shit from the ground up and can do whatever you want but it seemed pretty sketchy. I think I deleted it from my comp from lack of interest but still. Care to explain? I had a "lol is dis roonscaep?" attitude when trying it out.

Wolfenstein 3D was the shit back in the day.

Nobody here must watch many subbed videos, cause all I see is VLC and WMP.

Huh? Are you saying VLC is incapable of watching subbed or not that good at it? It's perfect for when I watched subbed anime and stuff.

I remember VLC as not having as good of support for soft subs, but it seems that has possibly changed. There was also an issue with pausing to read subs, though, which I do sometimes on long lines in case it doesn't give me enough time to read it or on lines shown for a very short amount of time. On VLC, the subs seem to disappear when you pause. On MPC or MPC-HC they don't.
