Hi all, I think a lot of you guys know me by now, some don't though. I've been playing TS games for a while, much longer than just this current account, but recently I've rejoined the masses in playing TS. Of course, there's plenty of people who don't know how to play TS, but for some reason I've noticed that a lot of these people insist on playing LM. I decided after playing as LM recently to record the replay and post it here.

This is a replay of me playing LM against a Mut and a Spec Ops at the end of a 3v3. This is mostly for educational purposes, to get people to learn how to play LM correctly, so that I don't tear out my hair whenever someone on my team fails to play as LM. Comment as you see fit.

I'd say it's ok for him to make a separate topic about good LM play if he wrote up a guide or made an outline of points, instead of just giving us a replay to watch.

...but he didn't do that :-_-:

Why make an outline of points about a game based on micro management? And why make a long discussion about it or write up an article when you can just give a visual presentation? You're starting to scare me dude.

It's Temple Siege, not Dota.

Micro management? /facepalm
That's just basic SC skills everyone should have to some extent. A strategy guide should be about MACRO, as in what build to go, how to play against certain heroes, where to feed in different matchups, etc.

.....everything that you just said is in that replay.

You guys are questioning why I circumvented writing a long article about what replay I could merely save and post here. It's stupid. Stop doing it. The point of the topic is actual data on how a Light Mage is played, not comments or articles about it, which would be less useful compared with actually seeing it first hand.

Playing a Light Mage; *this is where you would actually download the thing, and actually watch it, and not act like smartasses about it*.

End.

A replay can only show LM against one matchup, and it means having to focus on what the LM is building in terms of stats, plus a hundred different things. In textual form, it's easier to absorb the info and have a build to follow and to make an article address different matchups. Replays are too linear and limited in that regard.

There's only two builds for a LM, Mana>L2>Health or Mana>L2>L3>Health. I don't need to write an article to describe that. The importance of this match up was that it was double counters against a LM, 1v2. There's plenty of different match ups, but this one is notable being it's more difficult to deal with than most. Seriously, you could criticize the actual content if you wanted. Why criticize the post?

Here's a quick guide for LM:

If your enemies are really bad you win, otherwise you lose.

Not trolling. The only scenario I can think of using LM would be against a team consisting of Summoner and Volt.

You're assuming that the LM would be used for PKing. It wouldn't. LM is a carry more than anything else.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

he's an annoying opponent who is tough to kill at two points in the game and generally double feeds, with translates to lots of damage. He's easy to kill in the beginning of the game before he gets the mana to support level 2, and he's easy to kill after everyone has ~200 exp and he hasn't gotten any HP ups yet, but you have lots of damage. If you try to kill him at any other time, unless you're assassin, you're SOL.

The sometimes do not work, the higher the speed you watch it the more likely it will screw up the replay. The highest speed I've played a TS replay at and nothing messed up was 2x fastest.

Precisely, replays will work correctly as long as you watch them on Bnet. This one works anyways, I don't think all of them will work, afaik, but who knows.
