[2014-8-26. : 3:01 pm] Wing Zero -- Actually, now that i think about it, the timer should show the exact same countdown for everyone. [2014-8-26. : 3:00 pm] Wing Zero -- So what you're saying is, it is counting down to something that may or may not actually happen at that time. [2014-8-26. : 2:58 pm] Devourer -- I used davidjcob's sc2 countdown timer. It didn't care for timezones either xD [2014-8-26. : 2:47 pm] Devourer -- Timezone. Some of you will actually have like -some hours left when we do that stuff [2014-8-26. : 2:31 pm] lil-Inferno -- "Generalpie -- So lil, have you messed with Android L yet? :3" I don't even know what Android L is. Is it that Android Wear thingy? If so I'm not interested. [2014-8-26. : 12:57 pm] Generalpie -- Actually, they already are blaming the other side by calling them terrorists [2014-8-26. : 12:51 pm] Generalpie -- They've been blaming recent hacks on the Anti-SJW side despite evidence proving it was their side hacking their own stuff so that they could blame the other side [2014-8-26. : 12:50 pm] Generalpie -- My guess it would be coming from the SJW side of the Zoe Quinn debacle [2014-8-26. : 12:27 pm] Oh_Man -- Next minute they'll be telling us Google is getting DDOSed - I didnt think this shit was possible! [2014-8-26. : 10:36 am] NudeRaider -- "Shouldn't release this kind of material" doesn't stop you either from doing it regardless. [2014-8-26. : 6:34 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Oh I think I get what's going on. You were just reading an article about it ;o [2014-8-26. : 6:25 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- A bunch of stuff is happening and dramatic music is playing and whatever, but you don't care because you have no idea who anybody is or why they are doing what it is they do. [2014-8-26. : 6:24 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- My friends were watching it once, but it was in the middle of a season or whatever so I got bored because it was like walking in on a movie you've never seen halfway through. [2014-8-26. : 5:09 am] Fire_Kame -- does jofferey somewhere in the book strangle a horse with two fingers? O.o [2014-8-26. : 5:08 am] Fire_Kame -- the excerpts in the article go above and beyond it. I have trouble believing someone would write a horse being placed on a satchel regardless of how little they knew about them. clickhole is a site that I can't tell if it's trying to be funny or not. And having never read the books I thought someone here might have. [2014-8-26. : 4:26 am] Dem0n -- What difference does it make if he's never seen a horse? It's not very hard to write about them without seeing them ;o [2014-8-26. : 4:04 am] Fire_Kame -- ok is out true george rr martin head never seen a horse when he started writing or is clickhole terribly written satire? [2014-8-26. : 3:43 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- And if they did overlook the BA, I probably would've had to've sent it in right away and not a week later [2014-8-26. : 3:35 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Well that was a somewhat insightful conversation. xD I still probably won't apply for that position (GED vs. requested BA ... feels a bit underqualified), but at least I'm a bit more aware of examples of applicable skills. [2014-8-26. : 3:31 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- And the other bit can just be an example of "If the situation requires it, I am able to take charge!" (unlike my friend who worked in the same kitchen who would have panic attacks and burn everything when he was put in charge ) [2014-8-26. : 3:29 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- The teamwork was for almost a year (working in a kitchen), that other bit was all that week was. [2014-8-26. : 3:27 am] Moose -- Oh, a week of teamwork and supervisory experience. I mean, you were right to quit, but good luck leveraging that experience. [2014-8-26. : 3:27 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- But if I do somehow switch to this other position at my job then I will no longer be able to boast about having the laziest 3-day-a-week job in the world where all I do is watch youtube videos and stare out the window. [2014-8-26. : 3:26 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I forgot about that .. I quit after like a week of that (after having worked there almost a year) because that's way too much for an $8/hour line cook/dishwasher to be doing. [2014-8-26. : 3:24 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Oh shit, I totally forgot. I do have team-related experience from working in a restaurant. And when all the managers suddenly decided to quit and the new ones were all fucktarded I was the one who had to be like "Jesus Christ, just fucking pick a station and stay there and only make the things on the ticket related to that station. You, you're on pizzas. You, you're on sandwiches. You, you're on pastas. I'll run the oven." xD [2014-8-26. : 3:22 am] Moose -- Yeah, "absolutely couldn't figure it out" sometimes means "lazy" and/or "didn't actually try anything". [2014-8-26. : 3:21 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- "absolutely couldn't figure it out" includes assignments that were "Copy this code verbatim from the text book in to the IDE." [2014-8-26. : 3:20 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- And that's not a good example because they either didn't care/had given up or absolutely couldn't figure it out, so I ended up doing pretty much everything under the guise of "Here, I'll show you." [2014-8-26. : 3:19 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- The closest would be in my programming class in highschool where I was the most knowledgeable student (from already knowing the language we were using), so the teacher made me the head of the team of all the people struggling most in the class ... [2014-8-26. : 3:18 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm fine with team stuff, that's just a weak point since I don't have a lot of experience or things I can cite as examples of teamwork and whatnot. ;o |
