Moose -- Just because it compiles doesn't mean it does what you want it to. Particularly with casting, but casting always makes me nervous because I don't have mad EXPs yet.
[2014-11-09. : 7:01 pm]
Devourer -- yeah right. Thank you!
[2014-11-09. : 7:00 pm]
Devourer -- Looks good? Great. No, I am just insanely unsure about it. It compiles but I can not test that atm (working on hardware, hardware unaccessible atm). And I am sorta lazy to write a standalone test program. I am ashamed
[2014-11-09. : 7:00 pm]
jjf28 -- you have an implicit cast from u16 to u8, could make that explicit, otherwise it looks good
[2014-11-09. : 6:59 pm]
jjf28 -- looks correct... is there a problem with that?
[2014-11-09. : 6:51 pm]
Devourer -- <3
[2014-11-09. : 6:50 pm]
jjf28 -- that compiles, to my surprise
[2014-11-09. : 6:47 pm]
jjf28 -- http://puu.sh/cJPDI/04c4278e32.png
[2014-11-09. : 6:47 pm]
jjf28 -- that would dereference the pointer
[2014-11-09. : 6:46 pm]
Devourer -- :C
[2014-11-09. : 6:45 pm]
jjf28 -- wait... no that's wrong
[2014-11-09. : 6:45 pm]
Moose -- Devourer
Devourer shouted: Moose. Stop it.
You should try it, though. Dem0n would be doing great if he did.
[2014-11-09. : 6:45 pm]
Devourer -- Thanks, jjf
[2014-11-09. : 6:42 pm]
jjf28 -- might be able to go straight from the pointer, idk
[2014-11-09. : 6:42 pm]
Devourer -- ((like, is anyone on SEN not programming stuff?))
[2014-11-09. : 6:42 pm]
jjf28 -- sometin' like http://puu.sh/cJPfn/b08f3ddfc6.png
[2014-11-09. : 6:42 pm]
Devourer -- I guess it does, I need to test stuff though. Thank you!
[2014-11-09. : 6:42 pm]
Devourer -- Moose. Stop it.
[2014-11-09. : 6:40 pm]
rayNimagi -- Would that work?
[2014-11-09. : 6:40 pm]
rayNimagi -- highByte = input & 0xFF00, lowByte = input & 0x00FF
[2014-11-09. : 6:40 pm]
rayNimagi -- er
[2014-11-09. : 6:40 pm]
rayNimagi -- lowByte = input & 0xFF00
[2014-11-09. : 6:38 pm]
Moose -- Devourer
Devourer shouted: You know how, though? :(
Delete facebook, lawyer up, hit the gym
[2014-11-09. : 6:36 pm]
jjf28 -- get it casted to number, AND it with the bits you want
[2014-11-09. : 6:35 pm]
Devourer -- You know how, though? :(
[2014-11-09. : 6:35 pm]
Devourer -- Working on a piece of hardware provided by the university. Not that modern I guess (not does it need to be I guess, for that reason)
[2014-11-09. : 6:35 pm]
jjf28 -- wouldn't almost all function pointers be 32bit these days?
[2014-11-09. : 6:32 pm]
Devourer -- Anyone experienced with C? How do I extract (from a 16bit) the highByte and lowByte of a function pointer?
[2014-11-09. : 6:23 pm]
jjf28 -- The glass candles are burning. Soon comes the pale mare, and after her the others. Kraken and dark flame, lion and griffin, the sun's son and the mummer's dragon.
[2014-11-09. : 5:53 pm]
jjf28 -- we lack decent map distribution speed, silly sac
[2014-11-09. : 5:24 pm]
Sacrieur -- What these kind gentlemen mean is that no, it is not a lot. Starcraft is an old game played on new hardware. We have tons of resources at our disposal :P
[2014-11-09. : 4:45 pm]
jjf28 -- ne ways it's not in production right now, currently we have half the states between us and are busy with college
[2014-11-09. : 4:38 pm]
jjf28 -- placeholders would take time, i'd rather learn my artist's file formats :P
[2014-11-09. : 4:31 pm]
jjf28 -- triggers tend to compress well, don't worry about it till 3000ish
[2014-11-09. : 4:30 pm]
jjf28 -- didn't know triggers could be pathological xD
[2014-11-09. : 3:30 pm]
Moose -- Unless you're running some pathological set of triggers with the intent of wrecking the game, 200 triggers is not very many at all
[2014-11-09. : 3:28 pm]
Devourer -- Shouldn't be a problem I guess.
[2014-11-09. : 3:28 pm]
twilight_marine -- thanks! does 200 triggers take lot of memory?
[2014-11-09. : 3:05 pm]
twilight_marine -- is there a trigger duplication program?
[2014-11-09. : 2:37 pm]
Roy -- You need the author's permission to edit their map.
[2014-11-09. : 12:14 pm]
lil-Inferno -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: it's being given some thought, time and funds aren't really committed to it just yet
Just use placeholder stuff for art and sound.
[2014-11-09. : 11:49 am]
Devourer -- On SEN we are not allowed to spread unprotectors :awesome:
[2014-11-09. : 8:55 am]
sigsaucy -- or unrpotect it for me?
[2014-11-09. : 8:55 am]
sigsaucy -- can someone give me a map unprotector, want to edit an old map
[2014-11-09. : 7:00 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I wanna make a game, but I don't have one to make ... just a bunch of programs that render random shit
[2014-11-09. : 5:20 am]
jjf28 -- mm, i'd prolly go something like 10% for each contributor, put the rest towards expanding the project/future projects - but ofc mine isn't the only say
[2014-11-09. : 5:03 am]
Zycorax -- Yeah, I usually never start the main quest when I play, so I don't get all those annoying random dragon encounters
[2014-11-09. : 5:02 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- my friend's been playing one where I guess you're not the dragonborn, you're just like some guyu
[2014-11-09. : 4:49 am]
Zycorax -- I really should start playing it again. I've had a bunch of mods and stuff installed for almost a year now, but I haven't found the motivation to start a new character >_<
[2014-11-09. : 4:47 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Zycorax
Zycorax shouted: You'll want this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34842/?
I don't actually care .. I've already beaten it a lot. I was just playing it because I was bored
[2014-11-09. : 4:47 am]
Azrael -- Otherwise, you end up paying your team more than you actually make on the game, or alternatively, you end up ripping them off horribly.
[2014-11-09. : 4:46 am]
Azrael -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: it's being given some thought, time and funds aren't really committed to it just yet
Well, for small indie projects, I think a percentage is the most fair payment for members of the development team. Flat rates are good for outsourcing music/art/etc if the person doesn't want to be part of said development team.
[2014-11-09. : 4:45 am]
Zycorax -- You'll want this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34842/?
[2014-11-09. : 4:14 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I didn't save either :( nor have I been anywhere to autosave ...
[2014-11-09. : 4:13 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oh fun, skyrim crashed. That's never happened before.
[2014-11-09. : 3:58 am]
jjf28 -- it's being given some thought, time and funds aren't really committed to it just yet
[2014-11-09. : 3:56 am]
jjf28 -- lol professional sounding :P
[2014-11-09. : 3:22 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- You can't call me a liar when I'm lying
[2014-11-09. : 3:20 am]
Devourer -- You liar.
[2014-11-09. : 3:15 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- create my avatar with that
[2014-11-09. : 3:15 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I did
[2014-11-09. : 3:06 am]
Devourer -- Ray, did you create your avatar with that weavesilk website?
[2014-11-09. : 2:17 am]
Dem0n -- Very much so.
[2014-11-09. : 2:08 am]
Devourer -- You recommend it?
[2014-11-09. : 1:01 am]
Dem0n -- interstellar is intense.
[2014-11-09. : 12:11 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- :wob:
[2014-11-08. : 11:47 pm]
lil-Inferno -- :wob:
[2014-11-08. : 11:10 pm]
Azrael -- With so many professional-sounding positions, and with a team being assembled in the first place, I figured it was a commercial project.
