Jesus how can you be so crassly off, taking a picture.[2016-3-10. : 4:34 pm] Sacrieur -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: So I'm going to Mexico this summer. I THINK NOT[2016-3-10. : 4:32 am] TiKels -- So I'm going to Mexico this summer. I'm gonna send my family videos with the Mexican hat dance song dubbed over and just claim "it just sounds like that everywhere"[2016-3-10. : 2:22 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- ok, yours is less demanding despite having to actually deal with stupid people. I get calls more frequently than that[2016-3-10. : 2:21 am] Dem0n -- idk during the day maybe like one call every 5-10 minutes, but at night it can sometimes be like 30 minutes in between calls[2016-3-10. : 2:21 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I just sit on my computer and sometimes I hear people talking and I just repeat what they say[2016-3-10. : 2:20 am] Dem0n -- lol no, I just sit on my phone/computer and answer the occasional phone call[2016-3-10. : 2:19 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: smh had to send the fire department to a frat house because some kid in there thought he smelled gas even though there is no gas in the building. Your job sounds a lot more interesting than mine, and similarly demanding[2016-3-09. : 11:24 pm] Roy -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Roy did it sound like I said that? I just meant the increased reliability trumps the recoverability. It sounded like you said that, hence my confusion.[2016-3-09. : 10:47 pm] lil-Inferno -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: smh had to send the fire department to a frat house because some kid in there thought he smelled gas even though there is no gas in the building. Nah someone just farted lmao[2016-3-09. : 10:39 pm] NudeRaider -- RoyRoy shouted: SSDs are more durable and increasingly more reliable, but they are not more recoverable. did it sound like I said that? I just meant the increased reliability trumps the recoverability.[2016-3-09. : 10:38 pm] NudeRaider -- RoyRoy shouted: Not to mention data corruption that occurs with dirty power or sudden power loss. RoyRoy shouted: Yeah, a sudden controller failure is not predictable, and that data is gone unless you send it in for forensics. *[2016-3-09. : 10:37 pm] NudeRaider -- both overrated. Don't use inferior technology because it breaks nicer, choose technology that won't break.[2016-3-09. : 9:32 pm] Roy -- SSDs are more durable and increasingly more reliable, but they are not more recoverable.[2016-3-09. : 9:25 pm] Roy -- Not to mention data corruption that occurs with dirty power or sudden power loss.[2016-3-09. : 9:23 pm] Roy -- Yeah, a sudden controller failure is not predictable, and that data is gone unless you send it in for forensics.[2016-3-09. : 8:43 pm] Sacrieur -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Dem0n you know, I don't know if people actually do, but I know it would be smart to, because they're far more reliable. They are even more reliable if you count the cases where you can predict or recover a data loss bullshit[2016-3-09. : 8:11 pm] NudeRaider -- When you got a car that runs on actual gas, not gasoline, what do you tell the petrol attendant?[2016-3-09. : 7:27 pm] NudeRaider -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Dem0n you know, I don't know if people actually do, but I know it would be smart to, because they're far more reliable. They are even more reliable if you count the cases where you can predict or recover a data loss Admittedly, that's the optimistic view. More reliable, yes, but there's not really enough long term data to tell by how much. Prediction rates ranging from 50-75% for HDDs (and probably much less for SSDs) are pretty hard to beat, too.[2016-3-09. : 6:45 pm] NudeRaider -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: BloodyZombie117 increased access times in general. Doesn't matter if you want to access your OS, programs or data quickly. What else do you need a hard drive to do? Oh yeah, write to. That's also faster. Die less? Yeah SSDs got you... *decreased or improved, actually [2016-3-09. : 6:29 pm] Dem0n -- smh had to send the fire department to a frat house because some kid in there thought he smelled gas even though there is no gas in the building.[2016-3-09. : 5:36 pm] NudeRaider -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: Yeah, because people totally use SSDs to store important documents and pictures and shit. you know, I don't know if people actually do, but I know it would be smart to, because they're far more reliable. They are even more reliable if you count the cases where you can predict or recover a data loss[2016-3-09. : 5:20 pm] Vrael -- yeah, because I also have a pithy sounding retort to what you guys are saying[2016-3-09. : 4:49 pm] jjf28 -- Yeah, because people are totally responsible about backing up all their important stuff [2016-3-09. : 4:47 pm] Dem0n -- Yeah, because people totally use SSDs to store important documents and pictures and shit.[2016-3-09. : 4:42 pm] Sacrieur -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: BloodyZombie117 increased access times in general. Fail with no chance of recovery? Got you there too.[2016-3-09. : 7:29 am] NudeRaider -- BloodyZombie117BloodyZombie117 shouted: That's why I said the increased size Roy. The SSD aspect is just fast booting times for me; that's the only advantage I know of. increased access times in general. Doesn't matter if you want to access your OS, programs or data quickly. What else do you need a hard drive to do? Oh yeah, write to. That's also faster. Die less?
