At least for everything that's not a throwaway account. Because account databases get stolen all the time, so it's more of a question of when, not if your password becomes public. And you'd rather just have one account compromised, than all of them. You can use password systems (fixed part+variable part) or one of a myriad password managers (I use Keepass) that make it easy.[2023-10-22. : 7:16 am] NudeRaider -- UltravioletUltraviolet shouted: NudeRaider oh that's why you just use a stupid password on SEN yeah I don't put much stock into securing whatever I do at SEN, so I'm glad I'm using a browser (Firefox) that treats me like a competent human being not telling me what to do everywhere.  Anyway, as a site owner/admin it stands to reason to care for your site / your member's security, so using such a low bar / common method is basically mandatory nowadays. |
