This is a 5 player open rpg with 6 classes of hero to choose from. each class has 4 custom spells to choose from as well as limitless upgrades. this means the ling can upgrade his attack speed and the marine can upgrade his range etc.

well, thx for review. this map DID win 2 map making contests, about 2 years ago. i could udate it but to be honest im too lazy. ive known about a few of these problems. even if you didnt mean it you did help me with this review. ive learned to be more careful about file sizes from now on. (however, the entire reason i made this map was to play it with my freinds in LAN, so file size wasnt an issue then.)

I hate to break it to you, but this map... stinks. It's been a while since I've tried to play it, but here are some of the low points I remember:
1.) The dl size. One of the reasons I haven't given it another chance is because the dl takes half of forever to complete.
2.) Nothing happens when you die. It just gives you a small message telling you to "be more careful."
3.) It plays highly annoying sounds when units die (this is a major reason why the dl is so huge). If I'm hearing correctly, the unit death sounds he put in sound a lot like the sounds from Command & Conquer (the oldest one)... I hope he gave C&C credit for their sounds XD. Meh.
4.) It's unprofessional in general. I don't remember what the spelling was like, but I remember how you would walk to the inn (which, by the way, was free - free is bad, healing should have a price), and it would spam a message telling you that you were healed until you got off the beacon (often enough that you would get the message at least 3 or 4 times by walking on the beacon and ordering the unit off as soon as it healed), which was annoying. Another nuisance was that when you wanted to leave the town, you had to manually maneuver your unit around the walls (door doodad units), because if you just told it to move somewhere out of the town, it'd just walk to the walls and stand there (apparently units weren't programmed to walk around doors, which sort of makes sense, since doors are meant to be walked through).
5.) It was the WORST money-giving system I've ever seen in an open rpg. Instead of giving money for kills, you get money for walking up to a spawn point (which technically allows players to avoid enemies simply by avoiding the spawn points, which are labeled by buildings). So you could walk up to a spawn and run away, and still get money from it.
6.) This isn't really a reason to hate the map, I'll admit, but it just agitates me that the maker of this says that this is "one of the last good rpgs before SC2" in the briefing. That's really a kick in the face to the good mapmakers out there, because this map really isn't much to brag about (even if the map was really good, that'd still be an insult to the other mappers out there...).

I've been wanting to say this ever since I played this map, but I didn't have a SEN account back then. Oh wells, I said it now. In short: This map isn't worth the space it takes up in your map folder. If there's any good aspects to it (there has to be something), you'll probably never find out, because the dl size makes it almost impossible to find someone else who will play it with you.

There, I said it. Honesty is the best policy, hopefully.
