Windows Vista:
Just wondering, how do I screenshot the Login Screen? I press "Prt SC SysRQ"(Print screenshot) and go to paint to paste, but it doesn't work.
None.
I don't actually think you can.
A handy program called CLIPSVR.exe is the little thing that makes the clipboard work.
Your CLIPSVR.exe process starts on logon, so no personal clipboard applies at the logon screen. However, on logon, CLIPSVR.exe starts. On logoff, CLIPSVR.exe exits, the entire clipboard is 'un-clipped' (dumped) to make sure no personal data is stored when another user logs on and the logoff/shutdown/reeboot proceeds.
The only other way I can think of doing it would be to use VNC Viewer and copy/paste background to local machine, use Terminal Services to access the computer or actually determine where the image exists with the Windows Registry and save it.

Then get a camera and snap a photo. =oP
Lulz, wonder how other people do it, since I see screenshots of login screens everywhere D: And I don't have a camera ;[!
None.
Why do you need to screenshot your Login screen anyway?

What if you log in and then change users but no log of the current user?
EDIT:Nope, that didn't work.
But if what you want is the background I believ it is under C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\ or here C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-shell-wallpaper-common (something like that
)

fuck you all
Try using 'switch user' to get to the login screen instead of log out. Switch user does not stop anything on your computer, just brings up login.

My computer has an option to swipe your finger to login and I wanted the gfx that is there for swiping your finger

If its a laptop, you'll be searching for a folder named after the brand you bought, but that only works half the time.

I've seen 2 folders named after my brand, but as you said, "works half the time". There is nothing about Login anywhere. Thanks though

Then is the thumbprint scanner a specific brand that is noted near the bottom? Try searching for that as well.

Just here for the activity... well not really
im not sure this works for Vista, but the way for XP is to select switch user and print screen there.

"Oh, I see it"
Well, technically you could go into System/Resources and blah blah blah, but I doubt you'd understand that.
I beleive there was a program called "Windows Blinds" and/or "StyleXP" that could help modify and extract these things...
None.
Highly doubtful, if its programmed into the startup. StyleXP and Windows Blinds both have no access to such file.
