i tried looking in the wiki, but there was too much stuff, so i figured i would just post this. How do you make square terrain, like a simple block the size of a grid square.

You use one map editor different o staredit.

You can use Starforge or SCMDraft 2 which are the least complicated out there.
Follow the link and download any map editor you wish, I recommend SCMDraft cause it's the one that looks more to staredit.

o, i forgot to add, ive got SCM draft

if you dont even know how to make sqaure terrain DONT POST HERE!! gawd.

Open up SCM Draft. Open up a map. On the first dropdown box from the left select 'terrain'. Now on the 4th dropdown box from the left where it says 'isometrical' select 'rectangular'. Now select the type of terrain you want to use and click on the map. If you want to make your rectangle bigger. Use the two last dropdown menus with the numbers in it to select your rectangles grid size.

Select the terrain of your choice
Wallah you have got ur square terrain

Star Forge And Starcraft Map Draft 2 are noob friendly

SCMDraft is better at all.... at has the same features like starforge and do not corrupt anythink [as far as i know^^]

well SCMDraft has all necesary things, so, i'll use SCMDraft till the end

Like what? All it has over SCM is the ability to set clutter %, and it can do those patterns of units(can't remember what that feature is called) other than that, SCM Draft is more stable, and it has TONS of features which StarForge does not have. Especially terrain-wise, All StarForge can do in terrain is square and tileset indexed.

If you're going to be an elitist, don't post here. I could throw things out about your blending ability, or anything else. But I don't. This forum is here to help.
