Detecting Cloak with vHP

I'm using vHP (ya know the zerglings under the unit thing) and one of the units is a wraith. How can I detect when he hits the "cloak" button so I can make all those zerglings invincible!

One alternative would be to have a barracks off in the distance where, when he lifts off, it cloaks the wraith and sets a death count and when the death count reaches zero, the wraith uncloaks. Or the player could just make the barracks land to uncloak him. Well that's not actually an option because there is no way to cloak a wraith via triggers. (the only reason I want this feature is for the SFX of having a transparent wraith) Actually there is a way but that involves removing the wraith and creating a cloaked one, but that makes the hotkey go away; I don't like that.

How could I do this? simply making the wraith look transparent via triggers would be sufficent, although it would be much cooler to be able to just hit the cloak button on the wraith itself. I can't use euds.

You can get the sound effects right from SCMDraft.

I don't think there is any easy way of going about it.

Kenoli had a test map that detected when a unit uncloaked:

I later made a similar map, but mine detects when you cloak (idea from Ocean_of_Fire).

That test map is hilariously simple. I doubt you have a computer that can fit the role to do it though.

Perhaps the best part is the disabled create/kill observer action. Apparently someone was planning a boom.

Yes, I originally made the map for JaFF because he wanted an action button for his pvp map. The only drawback was that a player could use cloak as a defensive ability (give them a second where they aren't being attacked). So I was just messing around and tried to make them visible the entire time (hence moving observers around). I deleted the observers before I posted so no one would be confused, but apperantly I missed some.

@Kaias - That sniper map will be finished after one more test run! (I just need someone who's willing to do it.. The bad part is that I have a latency problem and thus can't create games, so I need to do the latency trick - This is for this map)

That's really cool and WOULD work great, but the idea behind vHP is that the wraith is invincible and the zerglings underneath are vulnerable. Any way to get around this?

I just realized that if I had someone else's (like a neutral player's) burrowed units centered on the wraith instead of his own and that person was unallied to the computer, then have the wraith be vulnerable, have like a million life so he looks invincible, be allied to the computer, but be unallied to a different computer with a goliath who tries to kill the wraith but is in a corner of the map, then it would work fine. Thanks guys! I'll use the map theories in mine.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

To cloak the wraith give it to a comp and move it to a seperate area, let the comp shoot the wraith by an invincible unit with 0 damage, preferably a ghost hero. You sure have one of them to spare, do you? ;) Ghost hit instantly, have a quite long cooldown and do only 1 hit = (0.5 damage, which, iirc, doesn't even affect the wireframe)
The comp wraith will cloak and try to run away. You only have to move the wraith for about 4 trigger loops (test how long actually to let it reliably be hit) then move the wraith back and give it to the original player.
Hotkeys survive the process, as the unitID doesn't change.

To uncloak it via trigger you can only remove its energy for at least 1 trigger loop. That's the only way afaik, although you can't preserve the energy it had before uncloak.

Awesome!! I didn't know that was possible! That's probably the way I'll do it. Thanks!

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
