after googling and searching, and wiki-ing i am starting to believe this is impossible.

i need to give a nuclear silo to a human player somewhere thru midgame,
i also need that player to get a nuke in this silo by building something in another building  ... is this possible?

is it possible to bypass the silo altogether and create a nuclear strike at a location without using a computer? :><:

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

No.

But doesn't the "Modify unit hangar amount" work on silos too?

Hmm.

I'm not sure on that, but I beleive you can use custom AI Triggers to build nukes.

No.

Hmm.

Try that first. If it doesn't work, there is an AI script that tells the computer to nuke a location, and I'm assuming that's what you would use the nuke for.
This ai script does not make the computer build a nuke, just tells it to nuke a location.

okay, well hangar count wont work(ive tried it), but in any case, it seems the only way to get a nuke without a computer is the old fashioned way :(...

unless, is it possible to run AI for player 11?

No, You can't run triggers for 9-12 so you can't give them AI's

ACtually there are SOME you can run, just not AI.

He's talking about the players that it activates for. It you set a trigger to run for P9-12 it will never run.

There is an AI script that fills a computer's nuclear silo with nukes. Someone made an experimental map with it (if only I had kept it). If you can extract the Terrain campaign mission "Ground Zero" and look at it, you'll find out the AI script.

But, you can't use a computer, so, I guess it won't matter...

I answered this question 4 days ago, in this topic, two AI scripts will make a computer fill silos. But it seems you can't use a computer so that won't help, and since you can't create units via triggers that cannot be placed in staredit, you can't create the nuke, the most you can do is preplace them and give them to the player, although you may have problems with that as well, as nukes cannot be moved via triggers, only ordered.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
