From time to time I make some programs for my dad's company and get ~600$ (usually takes a week of programming).

I write articles for companies that basically summarize general products (today, for example, I wrote 14 pages on Bluetooth phones). It's only $3.50 a page, or about $.012 a word. However, I write at a fast enough speed to make about $13 an hour, and I get to work at my own pace and for as long or short a time as I want. Some weeks I only make $100. Other weeks I make up to $300. It's certainly not horrible for a part time job that I never put in more than ~20 hours a week for. Besides that, the money I save on not having to drive makes it all the better.

Well, freelance programmers, computer consultants, and enterprise license/service contracts all have ridiculous costs.

I've been working at local grocery store in my boring small town, minimum wage ($8.50/h CDN). I'll soon be, hopefully, working at the hospital in a city casual/part time in kitchen or housing. Since the hospital is unionized, minimum wage there is $13/h, and weekends and after 4pm the wages go up. I'll hopefully be working there while i take a full course load of university.

theatre usher. easiest shit ever, but only 7.50. But srsly all you do is goof off and fuck with people.
Also frequently break things that the company pays to replace w/o batting an eye.

Do you get to wear a little red vest?

Well, if I work the whole afternoon on that during a week, that is ~5h * 7days = 35 hours of work I get paid ~17$ per hour. And programming is a pain, you never know how long a project will take.

The good thing is that I get to work at home :)

I have been happily working at Price Chopper for almost 1 year now. (October 8th) and for extra money, I have been mowing lawns with my step dads landscaping company.

From Price Chopper I get payed $7.50/hour
From Landscaping company I get payed $7.75/hour

I get on average ~$200 from mowing lawns a week and about ~$150 a week from Price Chopper.

I work ~50 hours a week (7 days) on and off from P/Chopp and every morning, granted its not raining, mowing lawns with my brother. :D

To all of you slackers out there who us working people pay welfare to, GET A FUCKING JOB!

Just graduated highschool, I'm currently working 50-55 hours a week, I'm on a salary not a timeclock so and I'm over 18 so I don't get overtime and it is legal. Getting paid about 2750 (13-14ish an hour) a month before taxes. I am managing a pizza store.

Last year I worked 30-40 hours a week at the same place, and had a part time job as a sailing instructor. This was during the summer.

I once tried having 2 part time jobs during the school year, but both my bosses got so frustrated scheduling me and what not that they forced me to quit one of them.

Since the start of the year, I have spent about $500. At this point I have about $15k stored up for no apparent reason.

I'm a freak.

All told, your pizza store doesn't pay their managers very much :P

Our local waste management plant salaries their entry-level workers are over $40,000/yr - which is roughly $20/hr. Yes, union jobs are like that. And yes, they came into my freshman year biology class a few years ago and actually started advertising for jobs
