Well made architecture and outline of the map, however...
a single siege drop on middle besides the nat could destroy the natural.
I take it it's an island map, as for the natural minerals, It would be unwise to keep access from otherside of the minerals.

I like it, I can't see anything wrong with it off the top of my head. It could be since I haven't played starcraft in like 6 months though. I don't really like how the map is 100% symmetrical with doodads and everything, but thats more of a matter of opinion. (Nothing wrong with symmetry, but I never liked maps that were 100% with doodads/types of land tiles.)

Looks like terran can still float a cc to the expos near the center of the map. :P

It's not like he's gonna fill the whole damn map full of mineral blocks to prevent CC landing. Mineral only expos don't make much of a difference until late game when everyone's fighting down there already.

Not a problem, no need to fix.

Actually Titan those have gas too.

The way i look at is that i cant fill up the whole place with minblocks. I did the best i could with it and thats that. This is a fine example of a balanced air map IMO and im proud of it as one of my better maps. I do hope i do well in the contest.

The mineral blocks in the 4 center expos are unneeded in my opinion, I always thought terran's ability to float their buildings was an advantage to them. I can see placing a mineral block on an easily attainable air only expo on a ground map, but with air maps they are not needed, in my opinion of course, what the hell do I know.

Yeah...it only gives Terran a major econ advantage.

Yes. It is an advaantage to them, but when it would affect gameplay clearly in their favor, it must be changed. This allows terran to, essentially, FE. This gives them a boost over other races who need transports to expo (most importantly Zerg, who need to expo quickly and often.)

It just creates a very akward gameplay issue.

I dont know what skill you guys are, but usually for me, whether zerg or protoss, by the time i have expanded once, I have air to drop. Terran will first capture the natural ( naturally =D ), and by the third expansion, protoss or zerg will be fine to attack any others. It is an air map and thats why this is a little more flexible.

Good map Excalibur. That is major improvement since I last knew you.

O.o nice map excalibur. It is balanced, fun to play (I suppose) and I'd prefer to play on it instead of many other maps.Do you know why? Here's why
  • It's on my favorite tileset.
  • It is just great ^^
