I'm white and I voted for Obama. Obama's policies favour the poor and middle class(the overwhelming majority), while McCain's policies favour the rich and corporations. Being shot down and held captive for several years is not experience.

What effects might that have globally on the US? In order for someone to be rich, someone else has to be poor. Same goes for winning something. If theres a winner, there is always a looser.

If Obama started helping all of the poor ppl in america, I don't think that would do any good at all. There needs to be poor ppl, and rich, and middle class. The differences is what makes up this country, mind you we are not a communism.
Differences are good, inequality is not. The only people who benefits from inequality are rich people. The fear of poverty makes the middle class accept lower wages and worse working conditions, the elite who owns the working places exploits this to get higher profit.

Heh, Romney, I would never, ever elect an evangelist for president, that's like asking to kill science.

Regardless, I'm pretty undecided about the presidential election. On the one hand, McCain might be a good choice, but I'd hate to see what he did to the supreme court, and I don't like his policies on gays. Obama kinda makes me sick, I don't really like any of his policies, and all the media tells us about him is how he stands for hope and change (Not that that's anything against him, merely an observation). Besides, he came to my camp (It's at a school) and came to give a rally. For the rally, they had to close down the concession stand, because it was in the way. So, indirectly, he stole my freaking lunch, and he's not getting away with that.

To be completely honest, if it was up to me, I'd move to Europe or Canada >.>

I prefer misinformed. :P

From my point of view, can you really blame me? I don't have things handed to me, or rarely do. The needs in life are what I get. Food/shelter/water, ect... I buy my own shoes, I buy my own clothes, ect... I know it would be a lot harder if I didn't have parents backing me the whole way but still, it can be done.

Are you being serious? I bet that just about everything is handed to you. Would you have been able to work two jobs if you didn't have your parents? Just because you are growing up, look to the past where everything was handed to you. That STILL counts, and always will.

Living a good life with little to no support during childhood is probably next to impossible. I would like to see you prove that it is possible.

Meh, even if some of his policies weren't that great I'd say that Ron Paul was the best intentioned candidate (besides Gravel). Romney seemed like too much of a businessman, Clinton seemed too fake and insecure, Obama seems too misleading, and McCain seems too much like Bush.

Man why do we have to pick between these two pricks? Why not get someone who'll make some change like our country needs like Ron Paul? Seriously, fuck Obama, and fuck mckain. Fence sitting Inexperienced youngin, or senile puppet. Take your pick.

Well, there are some parts of McCain that I'd like to add on to what I see as Obama's strengths, but still, it's much less a 'choice between two evils' then the last election was. So, out of these two, plez.

Yes, and I'm sure McCain's a humble little lamb... seriously, do you think anyone NOT elitist can hold his own against other world leaders? Being humble gets you screwed.

Sad, but true. Elitist.. only those poor rednecks have an excuse to be offended by an elitist president. What the hell do you want from the most powerful man in the world?

Not before this. Hilarious. It seems to me that Spears and Obama are popular for entirely different reasons - comparing Einstein and Spears (well, he WAS eccentric) is a better match, and you can see how that works out.

Honestly, I kind of want to see what McCain would do in office. He seems so warlike, so... full of hilarity. I can imagine him attacking Iran, holding a country through three wars, and Iran's a tougher nut to crack then Iraq. Just.. seems interesting to see what will happen to the US if that happens.

I don't really give a damn about Republicans or Democrats. All I know is, that I dislike everything that Obama is doing to run for president, and it needs to stop. Hell, I'd rather Hillary to get into the running again somehow.

My parents actually really liked Hilary Clinton (or i mean, more so than obama.) People say that she's got the face of a politician and that she is possibly smarter than her husband. Both Bill and their daughter have said so. But seeing her personality, attitude, and inability to contain her emotions makes me and many people dislike her. But anyways with her gone, my parents like myself really don't know who to vote for ATM. We'll just have to see when the presidential debates come

Bill was one of my favorite presidents. Not because of his little incident with whats her face, but because of some of the things he did for the internet.
