First, be sure your trigger is in the right player's triggers.
None.
use classic trigedit to make those triggers to check and see if the syntax is right. You've probably got it displaying for the wrong players, too.
"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
I suffer something like this.
Sometimes the message is displayed, and some other times, the message is missing..

Well, I think in SCM Draft you have to check the "Always Display" box in order for it to display when the player has that option off. Also, display message runs for Current Player, often people make a trigger for multiple players to make up for that, but in the trigger one of the conditions are changed so they are no longer met, so it only runs for 1 player.

Granted he has "subtitles" are off inside his game.
In game (menu(F10)->Options->Sounds->Subtitles On (checked))

ok well, thing is i did use classic trigedit and did the display text, and in starforge the alwaysdisplay is set to 4, so i set them all to 4. and yes it is assigned to the right players...
and i know my display message thing is on because its not just me, everyone else cant see them

As you describe it it IS the always display problem. Turn your subtitles on (default is off) and check that. If it still doesn't display it then you know that the '4' has to be something else.

So does the trigger look something like this:
DisplayText("Hola!", 4);
in StarForge? Because that worked just fine for me.
None.
yes it looks exactly like that....
ok well it turns out i had subtitles off, but still... its not showing anything
and i found the problem!... i had all the levels set to p8 and thats where all the display text's are... but idono about buying units... i think those are in the right place....
agh its not doing anything, even if i put it in p1 triggers, and im p1 it still shows nothing. and i have subtitles on

It could just be your conditions aren't being met.
None.
but they are, because all of the other actions are happening

no... i dont think so....
None.
It will display if:
Subtitles are on
Another message is not blocking it out
It is not an invisible color
You have Always Display on
The conditions of the trigger are met
You are not experiencing Wait Blocks in the trigger
The trigger is under the player you want to display for
The trigger's conditions continue to get met, even after running once(In case it's checked for multiple players)
Are all of those true?
None.
you replied before i could, i fixed it... lol i was running wrong map
None.
Lol! Were you running the .scm instead of the .scx? I do that a lot

no i have a protected version that i only run on bnet, and i wasnt saving my edited thing to the protected one then protecting it, but isntead saving the unprotected file. so
None.
