aka idmontie

Is this map actually going to be made? If not, then I'm going to start working for the Computer version of Guitar Hero so I can create my own program to use the guitar.

Please, make the map, I dont feel like working :P.

Um... if you're going to do that why wouldn't you make it more guitar-like actually?
say... 6 frets like areal guitar?
Also, you could probably use the UEDs vision move detection to use arrow keys to do this...

Guitars have 6 frets? Lol wut?

Yeah, believe it or not.
Some even actually have 21 or 23 frets.

I was surprised myself when I found out that guitars had 6 frets. I don't blame you.

fuck you all

Well, they are in making of a computer 6-fret guitar game, and if your looking for the PC version of GH, i found it [Game 3 of course]

Plus, they made a map like this, but they only used 3 note buttons instead of 5, and they didnt use EUDs either, look for me on B.Net if you want to see it :) [it's hard] All they did was make it like: Build a unit to sync with the music, used a stargate, and you had to press a\s\ and c. [Left\Middle\ and Right]

No, read the whole tree. Corbo complained about 5 frets, and said they should have 6. I question a real guitar having 6 and he said they do (they more than 6, so they still have 6.) So I put the original point back and he looks like an idiot.

How am I being an idiot? Guitar hero's just stupid and I confused terms, GH takes frets as the most important thing ever and they are not, frets are irrelavant. So I confuse myself and say they have 6 frets when THEY DO and even better have MORE than that and point it out and you keep going with it and I am the idiot?
Good one, Syphon.

And don't come and say something about what I said about frets, fretless guitars exist, Syphon.
And yes I'm making fun of guitar hero, I always am, but it's because most of GH players end up just like Syphon, attacking people that are brave enough to actually play a real guitar but I also was being productive to the topic at the very beggining and Syphon decided to take it to another level by posting spam and saying:

You have successfully failed.

Lol?

Pics or it didn't happen. And I mean serious players, because after all, there's electric violin, but no one really plays that.

I play both?

Nope, you weren't really.

Well, it sounds really cool but impractical. :(

sdery23 made a Guitar Hero map that uses a Terran Starport and the five units it can create as its frets. You then have 5 corresponding columns that have units move down it. When the unit walks over the creep terrain its time for you to make the unit to kill it, hence makes the guitar sound. If it walks to to the other side of the creep terrain then it gets removed by a trigger and you loose one life. The game is extremely hard. The timing is offset for the units that are walking down their paths. I'm not at all saying it can't be properly done, just that the one he made wasn't "Map of the year" type of material. It was a cool idea though.

Good luck with it. :D

Starcraft maps really arent good at keeping a tempo. 1 out of every 3 tests the song will be off time guarantee.

How will you do double notes? Or even triple? I would definately play this.

I made a map with all notes from my harmonica, then with triggers made it play a bunch of different tabs. Allowing it to have a variety of music, with a small file size. I recorded 20 .wav's f the same size ( 0.46 seconds each ), then if its a longer note, i played it 3 times immediately, and if it was a little exra blow to have a certain sound, i added another note to be mixed with it so it sounds right. I should add me more songs to that map.

So... uh... Is this map already made, or going to be made?

I started on it, got kinda lazy at times. What im trying to do is make 3 instruments now. 1 guitar, 1 bass, and 1 drummer. Guitar and bass have same trigs, just diff notes. The drummer is just gonna have a starport with 5 units that you can build, and you hit the hotkeys on the keyboard, or click on the units on the starport to hit the notes.

You could make it single player.... or you could make the creep bigger, even though it would make it easier.

If you actually take the time to accomplish this map...the only flaw I see is actually getting all the music into the map....and then you are going to have a really really long dl...even for cable.
