  • Current player commands at least 0 Rhynadon
  • Current player commands at most 5 Rhynadon
  • Current player has suffered exactly 0 deaths of Ion Cannon
  • Actions

  • Create 1 Rhynadon at Spawn A
  • Set deaths for Current player: Add 60 for Ion Cannon
  • Preserve Trigger
  • Comment

  • I want a Rhynadon to spawn at both locations every 5 seconds, using death counters instead of waits. I have hyper triggers in my map, and yes, I do have a trigger subtracting the deaths. For some reason that I don't know why, only 1 Rhynadon will spawn at point A.

    yeah your condition is to have exactly 0 ion deaths, in action you're adding 60 ion cannons, do you have a trigger where it subtracts the ion cannons?

    In general, gratuitous use of "Exactly" is considered bad form. Replace it with "At Most" and see if that helps. It's possible however unlikely this is the problem. Also be sure to check for wait blocks or anything else that could hold the execution of that trigger.

    You know that the condition "at least 0" is superflous?

    Are you sure that you are always subtracting from P8's ion cannon?

    Now some stupid checks i almost don't dare to ask:
    Have you checked if all preserves are present (especially in the counter)
    Do you defeat the player in some other trigger?
    Have you checked that you always use the same death counter?
    Are your locations moved somewhere you don't expect it?

    Well... It seems pretty obvious to me...

    The conditions in the second trigger are not fulfilled, and the conditions in the first trigger are no longer fulfilled after it runs once, these conditions are the problem:

    ¤ Current player commands at least 0 Rhynadon
    ¤ Current player commands at most 5 Rhynadon
    ¤ Current player has suffered exactly 0 deaths of Ion Cannon

    It seems to me that your reset trigger is buggy in some way, so, for debugging purposes:
    1. Can I see the trigger being used.
    2. Can you tell me whether the trigger is in in front of or after these triggers(It might matter)

    We might be able to help you then, you know, are you going for 1 Rhynadon in both locations every 5 seconds? Because right now it will spawn 5 times in location 1, then 5 times in location 2, and it won't wait either, it will just spawn every trigger loop.

    It will wait because of the action "set deaths for ion cannon to 60"
    If he hasn't overseen something and posted wrong triggers then I'm pretty sure something fishy is going on with the ion cannon's deaths. Like the counter trigger fails in any way.

    Ryan you should either post more information how you have checked my questions or post the triggers or the map.
    I'm pretty much out of options what else could go wrong.

    It's a problem with his resetting, I mean, he sets it to sixty, and so it's supposed to constantly subtract 1, if that worked properly, the whole thing works, so it all relies on that.

    The way you have your triggers right now, this is what should happen:
    -every 5 seconds, a Rhynadon is created at "spawn A" until there are 5.
    -after that, one Rhynadon is created at "spawn B" and then the death counter continues going down into negatives.

    Is this what your are expecting/experiencing?

    simply switch trigger order (the trigger that sets deaths to 60 must execute last)

    I've done that getting DC triggers the wrong way round before... its really annoying, but i'm sure i'll never do it again.
