Every time you quote the Bible, you lose credibility in my eyes. Why? The Bible preaches so much shit that you could fill a barn. For example, Genesis states that man should tame and dominate the earth. This Christian standpoint of dominating the land has caused wars, and is leading us into global crisis (overfishing, global warming and the such). So quoting the Bible isn't really helping your argument.
Woa, hater much? I also love how you skip out the
good parts of the bible. Reminds me of an old Abraham Lincoln quote:
"I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given man. ... But for it we could not know right from wrong" --Abraham Lincoln
Hater much? Atheists are far more moral than Christians, historically. (See- crusades, the Spanish inquisition, witch hunts vs. authoring books and observing nature.)
That's one of biggest problems people have, they take the Bible for it's factual content, and don't try to take the stories and apply them to their lives. So the story doesn't make sense? So? It still teaches great morals and truth.
No it doesn't.
Quote from isolatedpurity
The sun, a constant chain of nuclear reactions, is very slowly decreasing in mass.
If it had the millions and millions of years evolution requires, the earth wouldn't be the same as it is today. With the only 10k years from the bible, the mass change would be so very minute it wouldn't make a difference.
Go go go.
The larger the mass of a star, the smaller the volume. It is also slowly increasing in size, and the Earth moving away from it. So no, the Earth would not be scorched from the sun billions of years ago.
None.

Please take note of the amount of deaths during Stalin's reign of the Soviet Union and the spread of its communism before saying that Atheists are morally better than Christians.
None.
Relatively ancient and inactive
Stalin was insane. He pretty much killed people for the heck of it. I'd say that Christians would've killed all Muslims and Jews, Muslims all Christians and Jews if they could, wouldn't you? They simply couldn't, but Stalin actually had the power to kill a very large amount of people.
None.

Which basically shows that their morals were about the same, just the capabilities were not.

You can't take the actions of one insane guy and what he did to a whole group of people to justify whatever point you're trying to make here. The point is that atheists have at least as much capability for morality as a theist, except with more just reasoning (let me clarify -- that's imo).
None.

I'm not saying that atheists are worse morally, which is agreed to the point of having the same capability. However, I disagree with the part where religious people are more corrupt. Now are you saying that it is perfectly fine to compare the Christians during the crusades to the Christians today? I'm not sure about you, but I would consider the Christians of then insane by today's standards. Besides, Stalin was the head of his nation, but in order to progress through his insane atheist and communist movement, his followers had to be Godless too.

Stalin didn't kill people because he was an atheist (which he was only loosely.) He killed them because he was apeshit insane. No one has ever killed in the name of the flying spaghetti monster or the invisible pink unicorn.
None.

Yet.
Those aren't meant to be real deities. I doubt anyone would kill in the name of something that they
definitely know to be made up.
None.
I'm not athiest, but I'm not religious either, in fact I prefer not to think about these things. Frankly, I don't give a damn about how our race started. And Dapperdan before you run your mouth, I have every right to do what I want over these issues.

Agnostic? And I don't think Dapperdan would 'run his mouth' at you just because you've stated your paticular belief/lack of belief.

Also, Atheists have never killed in the name of God or Allah.

Atheists and religious people aren't opposites Deathman. Atheists and theists are. Simply non-religious and religious people are. Apparently you're an atheist atm but haven't thought about it further. It's something you'll think about more a few years from now. (I probably wouldn't have commented if it wasn't for your idiotic 'Dapperdan running his mouth' comment)

Dude, you can only be moral if you pray to an invisible man in the sky, SRSLY.

In a perfect world, that comment could truly be taken with the sarcasm, but in this world..
