EUD's sound like they pwn. Too bad some people have to be malicious bastards and write viruses into them. :/

Is that even possible with the EUD actions are disabled?

None.

I thought that's the reason why EUD's were disabled, because someone wrote a virus into an EUD action and gave someone a virus.

EUD conditions that don't check 4-byte longs are pretty impossible to use.

So, nothing to worry about anymore. :)

However, EUD conditions are still extremely useful. They can detect certain things such as text, health, screen position, unit selection... so on and so forth.

Or, instead of EUDs we use ACTUAL Mods?

None.

Mar 6 2008, 2:00 am stickynote Post #28

EUD's can do things beyond the power of mods.

Yeah, modders were jealous when they were discovered :P

Too bad EUDs are so inconvenient to use.

True, but there is something called the "SC downgrader". Rather unfortunately, you would really only be able to play single player maps, unless you installed a server to play certain patches.

You can install servers for starcraft?!

No. You host private servers then using a Battle.Net Extender, you open up other gateways to join into, for example, the Starcraft Beta server, or the WGT Server.

Just got a brilliant idea from what you said from this... I'm going to say that the answer is no right now but can EUDs detect the health of a certain unit for a certain player at a specified location? Please say yes...

Yes. I'm not sure about at a certain location, but you can detect it for certain units owned by a certain player.

Can anyone give me the link to Uberation 3 to download it? I lost the file in my reformat and with my new idea for something I want to test some things with it

I needed Uberation to make EUDs to test for my map. I might have come across something that you guys might like. I don't think it has been done before but I can't wait to see what the results are. I'm still testing things with my concept though...

Ultraviolet -- Yeah, I suppose there's something to that

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD

Vrael -- that is insane
[2024-5-05. : 9:35 pm]
Vrael -- damn is that all EUD effects?

Oh_Man -- https://youtu.be/MHOZptE-_-c are yall seeing this map? it's insane
