First map and you're going with full voice acting, eh? I like it.

I'll download this later tonight and see if I can get a game going. Looks cool.

Disclaimer: I haven't played the map, I've only looked through the editor and the readme.

SCMDraft 2.0 is superior in every way to StarEdit, with the sole exception of adding wavs to maps efficiently. You should attempt to get acquainted with this editor if you want to continue making maps, as it offers you a tonne of extended features and ease-of-access to custom terrain/doodads, plus advanced 'hidden' features like inverted locations and the like. I recommend giving it a go.

As for your voice acting, it would be much improved if you could find a way to remove the static in the background, and apply some minor editing to make it seem like a transmission. There's a vast difference between radio static (i.e. Blizzard's own voice acting) and regular old background noise from a fan or the like. I also think you could do better than Audacity, but I've used Audition 1.5 for so long that I'm probably a little biased. It definitely has more features, though, so you might want to eyepatch it when you get a chance. There are a couple of good torrents around TPB.

I think your actual acting leaves a bit to be desired, and could be improved. I have lots of experience in voice acting and editing, so if you want to learn you can shoot me a PM or an email and I'll get back to you whenever, but otherwise you can look up some tutorials or just do a couple of takes and see which sounds the best to you. It's not terrible in-game, but it definitely could be better in a big way.

It's good to see another mapper crop up around here, though. Hopefully we'll see more people making stuff in Brood War as time goes on. Let me know if you have any questions or whatever and I'll get back to you.

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
