when a map has corrupted strings whats wrong with it?
i have a map with corrupted strings im thinking of releasing publicly even tho strings are corrupted
is that ok? my map seems fine...

The map will be playable. Though there might be a display text displaying garbage or a wrong string. If you're lucky the corruption is in a comment which won't have any consequences.
However it's still recommended using ScmDrafts backup database to go back to an uncorrupted version because if you're eventually going back to the map to improve it the problem might become worse or will at least be annoying to work with.
Save a backup before using.
http://www.staredit.net/files/2963/Most string corruption stems from SCMDraft being too picky things like a string number being assigned in the map and a NUL string being on the other end, a decent list of corruption causes (or should I say causes antitheses) are in the link.
Sometime's it's just some, what I like to call, "runtime corrpution" where restarting SCMDraft makes it go away.
