Map Dropping Players

Every once in a while this map will drop players, a few or one at a time, its an instant drop with no countdown.

The map uses 254 locations, features a large amount of preplaced computer units (double stacked depots in bottom right continent, triple stacked depots in top right continent.

The last time I played after a few players dropped me and the remaining people tried pumping as many units as we could to see if that made anyone else drop but nothing happened.

The map includes a unit removal trigger so that if all players get at least 1650 units a unit is removed.

I don't know if its the number of locations or units that is causing the dropping or if it is something else

I'm interested in knowing what I can do to prevent dropping from occuring, whether that is cutting down on the number of locations or losing some of the preplaced computer units.

Thanks

PS how can i find out the total number of triggers my map uses? Ive heard mention of some sort of map stats tool.

Hello

Map "desynch" can have many different causes.
For the case you have used SCM Draft (which I highly recommend), several sprites could cause that.
We got some mappers on SEN which know more about this than me, so I would hope for their response.
I am currently not able to check your map, but I will do so next week.

In order to check the number of triggers, there are seceral programs, such as this TriggerCounter, but with SCMDraft and Notepad++ (for the case you have that good piece of software installed), you can count your triggers without a third Program:
- Go to SCM-Draft and Open "Triggers -> Trigger Editor" (I do not mean "Trigger-> Classic Trigger Editor")
- A new window should popup with basically a big text-area in the middle, which looks like raw trigger code
- Put your cursor in it, hit Alt+A and Alt+C
- Open Notepad++ and open up a new document
- Paste your clipboard (Alt+V)
- On the top menu, head for "Search -> Search" and search for either of these Strings:
Quote
//-----------------------------------------------------------------//
Trigger
Conditions:
Actions:
- Now hit "Count" on your right of that small window.

The displayed number is your number of triggers.
Last method looks inconvenient, but I prefer that way

Cartography Artisan

you're using jungle doodad #1 which is topped by pure sprite #27 which I've isolated to be the cause of some obscure desync's in other maps, try removing those (and save a backup in-case it's not)
