I used to have a bonehammer. If not for it's swing speed it would make for a pretty cool alt to pickaxe though only up to like gold level, maybe platinum. Does your bonehammer shoot bones?

Yup! is that an unusual trait on them? I've only seen the one. Got it from killing some giant thing cheaply through a block. There'll be a character reset soon anyways, though.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.
I will have my server up post-patch for anyone who wants to play, but I will be only playing with my friend. Anyone is welcome to come since it seems that my upload speed makes my server godlike from what I hear.

Well isn't that neat. I was playing with one of my friend, and we figured out a way to clone all items that can be put in an inventory.
Essentially, you just have to put the items to clone in a crate in your ship. Then, you invite your friend in your ship and leave the game. Now, all objects in your ship and creates can be taken safely by your friend, and when you rejoin, your ship will still have it all just like when you left...
(Since you can launch multiple game clients, you can actually do this alone. All that's required is access to a server.)
Obviously, this trick is only fun for when you want to get back in the game quickly after an update.
Or for things like instruments, the bubble gun, etc. that don't have any effect on progression whatsoever and are just there to play around with.

Starbound - Heinermann's post about the game.
http://playstarbound.com/They have recently set up a legitimate office and let people play their nightly updates. They're now getting updates out more frequently as the developers are all moving to their office location.
Why is it awesome?
ModdingI've started 2 of my own mods which I haven't worked on much, here, and here.
The modding community already has some amazing things available. During my mod spree a while ago, I've discovered the sort of potential we've seen in the mapping community in the past (i.e. limitations seen as "impossible" can often be done through workarounds or through ideas people have never tried before). It's a very attractive environment.
A great mod idea I've recently had is the possibility of Garry's Mod-style objects, by connecting things together and getting them to move. This would possibly use "invincible friendly monsters" that are fully scripted and made to look like random objects (I've used this technique, it works very well), and a technology for interacting with them.
UpdatesYou get all of the update information and can even play with nightly builds. The game is good right now but there's still a lot more stuff to come.
MultiplayerLike Terraria, the game is multiplayer. However, you get more than one world to work with in the game's universe. It would be cool if we could have some sort of SEN solar system where everyone gets their own planet.
NPCsYou can spawn your own NPCs and as many as you want. You can discover NPC towns. You can script your own NPCs to do cool things (see mods). NPCs are capable of doing a lot if scripted correctly.
Magic box god; Suck it Corbo
For me, because there are so many worlds, I was disinclined to build on them and pretty much just used whatever i could fit into my ship. I would also run out of pixels nonstop because I would attempt to scan every single item I pick up into the ships deconstructor.
This does sound pretty awesome and I've had my eye on it for a while. However I remember how much of my time Terraria sucked away and fear this will be the same.
That said I did enjoy playing with you guys.

There is somewhat of a solution to that now at least for your home world. IIRC, you can now warp to your home world from your ship without actually moving your ship there. I don't remember if someone else can warp to your home world from your ship that way, though.

Was the clone any item glitch fixed?
With a friend, I was able to clone items by using his ship to steal all he had while he was disconnected from server. When he came back, all his items were still in his ship.

I would guess that they haven't, but the proper fix would probably be to not allow interacting with objects on the ship except the teleporter once the owner has left the game or forcing everyone onto their own ships when the owner leaves. The nature of the issue is that the ship is stored on the player's computer, not the server, so once the player has left, it is impossible for any changes to be made to their ship on their computer by someone else.

This gate thing is a bit interesting:
http://playstarbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/gate.gifThe best part of modding for this game is that you can use source control and toss the content into the mods folder and it just works. You can also combine mods and have mod dependencies, as well as merging config files so they don't get overwritten.

Honestly one of the best games I have ever played, I am just waiting a little while before I delve back in. I don't like dealing with massive overhauls to systems and items.

So now that 1.0 has landed, what's everyone doing with this game?
I am making a mod:
