Hello people this might sound silly but how do I lock my maps so that when people try to open and modify them in Scm Draft it says "Error Opening :C"?

Use a map protector, or a program that offers protection as a side-effect such as
TinyMap.
I recommend TinyMap as well.
The thread for it is
here, which always has the most current download link.
I don't understand how to use it.
I mean I see how you compress files and stuff but how do I
set the protection thing?
I'm hopeless sorry
None.
SCMDraft does not open files that are missing sections like TILE, which TiniMap removes automatically.
So you don't have to set anything special in TiniMap, just run your map through it.

Compressing the map in TinyMap automatically protects it.
TinyMap is a compressor. It makes a map smaller in file size, rather than just make it hard to open. A side effect of this compression is that most editors cannot open it. Protectors like ProEdit or Uberation simply try to make the map unreadable by editing programs without focusing on compression.
Keep in mind modern unprotectors can undo all current protection methods, some of which even use .DLL files to read the map as Starcraft does. It is currently impossible to keep a map from being unedited by anyone determined with the proper set of tools, other than not distributing it at all.
Oh... Stupid Me I didn't know that.
XD Many thanks for helping me

There are methods, however, of making it difficult for people who do unprotect your map to change it and maintain functionality.
I doubt you'll need it, but I feel like it should be said that editing some map data isn't the only form of protection.

You should be using TinyMap anyways, since it makes your map much faster to download.
The protection it offers is enough of a deterrent to stop most potential abuse, since the tools needed to access the map aren't immediately available on many sites which host utilities for obvious reasons. Not only is it not worth the effort of finding for a lot of people who'd otherwise make quick edits to your map, but a lot of people (like yourself) don't even know such tools exist. All the people I know who have these tools are the same people who'd never use them to make unauthorized edits to your map. Also, keep in mind that TinyMap removes the Preserve Trigger actions from your map, so people who do unprotect it aren't getting a functional version of your map anyways.
tl;dr: Use TinyMap regardless.
