The adventure is done!
Original Post
I have an idea for a story based on the
Choose Your Own Adventure format. I know the outline, but I want YOU to create the details.
If you would like, I will send you a description of one "scene" in the story. Then, you can write that scene (maximum of three paragraphs) in any style you choose. It can be serious and depressing, or it can be humorous and include a picture. Just make it appropriate for SEN, and don't tell anybody what you're writing about. (That would ruin the fun!)
Once all the scenes have been sent to me, I will create the adventure in this thread using collapse boxes and links, and everyone can enjoy our story.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up now!
Our Dear Writers:
1. Azrael
2. Dem0n
3. Omegwavex
4.
5.
6.
EDIT: Just so you know, I'm going to randomize who gets which scene.

This sounds fun. I'll do it.
So this isn't a so much choose your own adventure and more of a madlib thing?
We're writing segments of the storyline so they can be compiled into a Choose Your Own Adventure story which will be posted afterwards.

Correct. It's more like round table writing. Here's what I envision the prompts to look like:
Action from previous scene: (this is what the player last decided to do)
You gave the homeless man some spare change.
Your scene:
You are walking down the street when a mugger demands you give him your wallet.
Possible transitions: (these are the actions that the player can choose after your scene)
Give the mugger your wallet
Resist
Call for help
Then, whoever is writing this scene would create something like this:
You dig into your pocket and find a warm, slippery quarter. Dropping it in the homeless man's hat grants you a murmur from the half-drunken shape.
You continue walking down the street, watching out for cracks in the pavement. A slow drizzle begins to fall on the city, clouds casting a twilight shadow on the rusting steel. Out of nowhere, a tall man in a hoodie and black sweatpants grabs you by the collar and slams you against the wall.
"Gimme yer wallet, punk!" he shouts as he brings a small pocketknife up to your neck.
The writer would be free to include whatever details he wants. He could give the mugger a rocket launcher, mention the state of the surroundings, elaborate more on the dialogue, etc. Once everyone has written their scenes I will link them to create a playable adventure.

I volunteer to do the bad ends.

At this point there may be several scenes given to each writer, unless more people sign up.

Just sign lil-Inferno up for this. He's been writing RPs nonstop in SEN Skype for the past two days. I'm sure he'll do this. ;o
I'll probably send out scene descriptions Sunday evening (CST), so sign up before then if you want to participate.EDIT: see below.

Uh oh, I'm going to be on vacation from tomorrow afternoon to next Sunday. D: I guess I can't do this, then.
Might join in next week, after I finish all my end-of-year lab reports and shit
None.
The deadline to sign up has been extended until further notice.

I'm back, so if this hasn't started, I can do it now.

Added. Given SEN's low activity recently, I'll probably close signups within a few days. At that point, everyone will receive 2 (or 3 if you want) scenes to write.

Scenes are going out TONIGHT!

Almost all the scenes have been submitted. I'm still waiting on one more from Omegwavex. He hasn't logged on since June 27th, and I sent him a message about a week ago, so I think I'll let someone else write that scene (or I will if no one else volunteers).
Hopefully the adventure can be posted by the end of the week.

It is. I sent you a PM.
