Okay, i have a problem with a spawn trigger again.
I have a hydralisk that can morph into a lurker. When it morphs, it turns into an egg, which is a shield.
However, whenever I morph the hydralisk into the lurker egg, the following trigger still works:
Condition:
Current player brings exactly 0 any unit to "battlefield"
Action:
Create one hydralisk at "spawn"
Does Starcraft not read the egg as an any unit? I tried also making it Current player brings exactly 0 zerg lurker egg, but it still doesn't work.
None.
The Zerg Hydralisk egg does count as a unit.
Attach the map. Ill see if i can fix it for ya.
None.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I see your problem. At first I thought you meant the Hydralisk WOULDN'T spawn.
I've done a couple tests, it doesn't seem the game will detect the Lurker Egg. I've tried Men, Any Unit, and Zerg Lurker Egg.
Yeah. That's what i meant
Is there any type of solution to this problem other than making the person suffer one death? I use death counters so that might be a hassle to me.
None.
Just do it if they suffer the death of a hydralisk, it creates the hydralisk at said location. You can't detect lurker eggs. Is it only one guy in the 'battlefield' for the Current Player?
You can center locations on them, I'm pretty sure, so perhaps you can attempt to center a location on one, if it's not there it will go to the center of the map, so if it doesn't go to the center of the map, you know the lurker egg is there.
None.
I didn't feel like making a new topic, but is there a way to make a hydralisk morph into a lurker? Using AI's, I mean.
None.
We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
Not really. Using an expansion melee ai will make the comp do it occasionally.
But thats far to unreliable to have any practical use.
You sure you can center location on them? I did it, and it didn't work?
None.
I'm almost certain, but I may be wrong, they might be like a scanner sweep, if so, then you can detect them with Command.
None.
You can center a location on it, if the location goes to the center of the location you told the trigger the unit to center on was in, then there is no egg, otherwise, there is.
None.
