So... it turns out there's big differences between how my targeting system worked on LAN and how it worked on bnet (and I'm not sure what, I tried manually changing latency and that didn't help); spent a lot of time fixing that up, now targeting works for all six players on bnet.
I also created a cool new menu system, theoretically you could fill the screen with buttons and it would work, but you'd have to be willing to do ALOT of string fiddling (ergo my menu contains 5 buttons).
So I still have to create: a HP system, ammo system, re-spawn system, and a range limiter system -- all of which is child's play compared to what I've done so far; I expect game-play to be very simple to trigger, I hope i'll be left with a large chunk of time for terraining - though I doubt i'll be able to make it shiny.

Finished a
basic hp and damage system as well as test re-spawning; 4 weapons are now in the menu. Need to add index targeting, an ammo ammo system, and a hot-key system. Any new systems or upgrades to old systems after that will receive super-low priority.
Will spend most of tomorrow constructing some rough terrain and completing game-play (in my head gameplay'll be fairly simple), hopefully leaving me with Sunday for polishing. It's a crunch, but I should have this fairly nice and playable on time.
