East continues the perfectionist spirit of Annatar 10.51 and adds olny what will improve gameplay...
The list below is not comprehensive, but it is close.

Annatar's fatal flaw is the teleports.

Rohan can pretty easily stack either teleport preventing the uruk hai from gaining entry. You can get rid of nearly every unit in the game which blocks crap if you use terrain instead. In fact this is better, because units can path around terrain better than they can units.

I've always had a problem with the idea of "breaks" in the siege while the uruk hai don't have any guys because they haven't lost enough yet and have to wait until they have less than 75 men.

I always enjoyed ben's original zergling more than annatar, since it relied a lot more on the skill of the uruk hai, although the cave D was absolutely rigged. For a while there I prided myself on being the best rohan still playing, since I frequently won 2v1s as rohan.

Old way to fight keep/cave blocks...
This is a viable strategy then in any game.

Quote from jjf28
"Breaks" (as I wouldn't call it)... ...The "break" system also adds a tremendous amount of balance to the game through the tank spawns
What would you call it then? And tank spawns are completely unrelated to breaks in massing. Evil has 10,000 men (they really shouldn't get more after this, even if they kill gandalf). Why should they have to wait until they have less than 100 guys? Just make more when they have less than 250-400 guys.

Quote from jjf28
and the intensity never disappoints.
it's always disappointed.

I have finals tommorow so i'll have the acctual back and fourth tommorow

But i am always very interested in learning helms history :) I now remember v. Zergling quite clearer, it was quite a fun map, bit funky of areas though.

And yea, the Masser was the first thing I fixed in this map (it's now a shuttle you have to move 1 pixel up or off center pixel location in any other direction, has banner/claimer options loaded as appropriate)

... perhaps this is better discussed live?

Bottem line, if you still really believe in this, nothing I say will sway you, and the same is true for the reverse. You'd have to implement it yourself, and immerse yourself in the current and the edited map to really see its effects if you don't buy my educated predictions. *was based on a misunderstanding of your system
