But I'm more curious about this "destruction" thing and how it'd affect Multiplayer play.
The destruction was fully available in Battlefield Bad Company 2. You can see how it affects multiplayer play there, particularly by destroying structures that would collapse itself, or blow up a cover that eliminates camping and defending. Battlefield 3 would no doubt use its improved destruction in multiplayer.

I just finished the campaign. Pretty nice I must say.
The bad: * The story isn't overwhelming (some middle-east bad guy provoking a war between USA and Russia and killing thousands in the process) * the levels are linear, sometimes rail-road like (but well composed so it doesn't feel too awkward) * the quick time events are obsolete or even annoying * script fest * no save function (it's automatically saved every checkpoint, which are thankfully plenty) The good: * impressive graphics (together with destructable objects creates a realistic atmosphere) * life-like animations * characters have a soul (in part because of the excellent voice acting) and flaws (no superman like bodies) and can actually die * smart, melancholic ending (although the last mission was a bit exaggerated with the heroism, which didn't fit the rest of the game) * it's fun! (varied objective-driven level design, vehicle missions / mounted weapons, sneak / sniper passages, good amount of weapons that all feel differently - this and more made for a well-rounded package)
It's a pretty short campaign, but they put a lot of effort into it. The sheer amount of scripts and linear levels may look boring on paper, but the over-all composition was well rounded so it was diffictult to even take a break from playing.
All in all nothing really new, except a few gimmicks, but it felt more complete, believable and intelligent than other shooters (I'm looking at you, CoD).
So I've heard, but I couldn't test that so I only judged what I could test.
From what I've read they've polished the already good bf2 multi player and everything feels balanced.
After the latest patch I think it's pretty well balanced (though I haven't played very much lately), but before that there were some serious balance issues which almost made me lose all interest in the game. First they decided to make the Javelin pretty much one-shot MBTs from an insane range. But while they fixed that, they decided to buff the jets, enabling them to disable or even destroy an MBT in one dive. At the same time they also decreased the damage and range of the anti air vehicles, rendering them completely useless against anything in the air. You'd even lose a duel against a diving jet. Seeing as about 20% of my kills are with vehicles, mainly MBTs, this was some dark times for me =P There were also some issues with one of the assault rifle attachments that let you one-shot anyone in a hundred meters or so, and the RPK-74M suddenly had the Extended Mag upgrade by default (I think), giving it 200 rounds rather than its intended 45. What really annoys me (and the majority of the community) is that DICE knew about these bugs for several months before fixing them. Why they don't just make a hotfix to sort it out, instead of waiting for the next major update is beyond me.
So I've heard, but I couldn't test that so I only judged what I could test.

READ: He pirated it. But no seriously I've but over 150 hours into and I still haven't finished the singleplayer. It's really not that appealing compared to multiplayer.

They've fixed all the major bugs. I've read speculation that shitty patch schedules was because Microsoft and Sony have more stringent testing requirements on consoles and Dice doesn't want PC to be different from consoles. It's the only reasoning that I've heard that makes sense.
But lets talk about how bad ass this game is. Fucking helicopters man. Strafing runs on tanks are so bad ass, it's unbelievable.
EDIT: It's really bad ass. You're cruising at 100m when you spot a tank, so you fly at it. The tank's driving away so you have to lead your missiles and you hear that muddled "thump thump thump thump" and watch them all hit, while the gunner is going crazy and shit's blowing up. "Vehicle Disabled 100" pops up and you're all "Fuck yeah, points," but you want the kill. You keep flying at it, pounding the mouse button as you wait for your missiles to reload. They finally come back up but you have to decide how many you can pop off before you have to pull up, and then you hear the beep beep beep as you get locked on. You pop ECM and make a mad dash for the nearest hill and hope you can hide from whatever it is that is aiming at you, but then a FUCKING JET starts shooting you up and you can't tell where he's at. So you try to gain altitude and the goddamn jet crashes into you. Fucking rammers.

I do, but I hardly ever have time to play now. If I do I play on the server linked at reddit.com/r/purebattlefield. I recommend it because its not shitty instant vehicle respawn.
UndeadStar -- I wonder if that's what happened to me. A returned product (screen) was "officially lost" for a while before being found and refunded. Maybe it would have remained "lost" if I didn't communicate?
NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
