So I know a few websites I use have backup/download options so that you can save information before you either mass delete stuff or delete your account (such as Facebook, for example). I was wondering if deviant art had a way to do this too? I want to take down my old submissions before I delete the account, and while I wouldn't mind doing it all manually I'd love it if there's an easier way.

Put your Deviations into storage. Forgot how to do it, and the UI changed a ton in the last ~1.5 years anyway.

Its not so much images, its more like pages and pages of angsty poetry and poorly written prose. But I have a nostalgic desire to hold onto it! XD
Deviations into storage? I'll see if I can find that.
You can now select an option where dA deletes all of your work and you can't access any website content. But there's no option to back it up in that area. But I'll see if I can find that storage thing.

Storage is perfect for what I'm looking for. I stored about 150 submissions and I kept up some of my not quite as angsty pieces. And I took out the stuff that one day will make me rich I'm still trying to decide if I want to open a new account or just post to that one.
