Hello! I was wondering if there was a way how to make a trigger effect that will cause ALL air units to go at half speed (or something like that) without losing attack orders, move orders, or anything like that. Its just slower.

I think there's a way to cause it on a small scale for land units, like moving a burrowed unit underneath it over and over, but I need something for air. (It also should/must be aesthetically pleasing)

'case you care what I'd use it for, it would be a global "spell" that would make your (air) units "twice as fast" (by making all your opponents go half speed)(Or by "without it" you would also be going half speed, like normal)

Thanks in advance for any help.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

There's no way to do that except tricking a queen into ensnaring them, which is quite difficult to do reliably and permanently.

It also wouldn't affect all air units across an entire map, but thank you for the reply.

Edit: Does this mean that there really is no way to do this (or anything that can achieve a similar effect)?

If you have only one air unit and know how to use EUDs, then you can figure out where the player right clicks and then create an observer on the one air unit and have it go to that location. Then, you can make the air unit constantly move to the observer. This'll give it a nice slow effect (as long as the air unit is faster than an observer). It woks well if you just want the unit to move around, but if the unit is also going to attack, then I wouldn't know hot to make that work. O.o

if he's going to do that, then he should make an EUD action map and just make his unit twice as fast.

But then it wouldn't work online. :O

Unfortunately the point was that it needed to work on many/all air units, simultaneously, and without Modding the game code (because then it would be a hassle to get people to dl it, and its one of my self rules)

Well you could do it by replacing the air units with different ones that are slower or faster, but of course that won't remember the orders the previous units had. You could also make the ability give the player a Queen or Infested Kerrigan and he could manually slow down his opponents. Not perfect solutions, but perhaps you can work with it.

Kaias had made a system about that. It was about a new system I had thought of and written about in the Theory forum. Can't remember what it was about, but I know there was something about ensnare and cloak.
